Which Gundam SEED Destiny Mobile Suit Should Be Next for HGCE?

Bandai Spirits has been steadily expanding the Mobile Suit Gundam SEED DESTINY lineup with modern HG kits, and there could be plenty more to come.

Back in February 2025, Bandai announced that an existing Gundam SEED DESTINY HG kit would receive a revival with the SEED Action System. At the time, the identity of the mobile suit was kept secret.

That announcement eventually led to the HGCE Legend Gundam, which arrived in January 2026 with the SEED Action System and updated articulation.

But Bandai didn't stop with Legend Gundam.

The HG 1/144 GOUF Ignited (Heine Westenfluss Custom) was announced in February 2026 and released in July 2026. The new kit also uses the SEED Action System, with updated articulation, a sword storage and extension gimmick, and Slayer Whip effect parts.

That makes the next question even more interesting: which Gundam SEED DESTINY mobile suit is next?

There are still plenty of popular designs that could receive a modern HG treatment. Saviour Gundam would be a major choice. Chaos Gundam, Abyss Gundam and Gaia Gundam would also be exciting additions.

The Zaku Warrior and Zaku Phantom are another pair that could benefit from the SEED Action System. Their original HG releases are much older, so a modern update could make a huge difference in articulation and posing. And then there's the Wizard system, which could make these kits even more fun with modern engineering.

And the timing is pretty interesting.

The Gundam SEED title series celebrates its 25th anniversary in 2027, 25 years after the original anime premiered in Japan in October 2002.

With the HGCE lineup continuing to expand and the SEED Action System now appearing in more SEED DESTINY mobile suits, another announcement could fit perfectly into the anniversary year.

Bandai has not revealed the next Gundam SEED DESTINY mobile suit for the HGCE lineup.
