September 2026 is a particularly busy month for GunPla, with the MGSD line expanding into Universal Century with the NZ-666 Kshatriya, while HGFC adds several Mobile Fighter G Gundam releases. The Witch from Mercury also gets a major wave of Premium Bandai kits, including Gundam Lfrith Jiu, Gundam Naion, Beguir-Beu Torche, Desultor, and Heingra.

MGSD NZ-666 Kshatriya

The NZ-666 Kshatriya is officially joining the Master Grade Super Deformed (MGSD) lineup, marking the MGSD series’ move into the Universal Century timeline. This release introduces the imposing Neo Zeon mobile suit in a compact form while aiming to preserve its defining features and presence.

The kit is scheduled for release in September 2026 and is priced at 7,700 yen.

The NZ-666 Kshatriya was developed as a downsized successor to the NZ-000 Queen Mansa, which stood over 40 meters tall. Its reduced size was achieved through the use of newer technology, including the installation of Psycho-Frame around the cockpit, while maintaining high performance. Following the Second Neo Zeon War, Neo Zeon lost the ability to manufacture Psycho-Frame, making the Kshatriya a one-off unit.

Much of the Kshatriya’s functionality is concentrated in its four large wings, or binders, allowing it to reach nearly half the size of its predecessor. Each binder houses two mega particle cannons, a funnel container with six funnels, an I-Field generator, flexible thrusters, a propellant tank, and a sub-arm equipped with a small beam saber. The binders also function as AMBAC units, contributing to its mobility and control.

As with its predecessor, the Kshatriya demands a highly capable Newtype pilot to draw out its full potential. With its heavy armament and distinctive design translated into MGSD form, this release offers a new way to experience one of the Universal Century’s most recognizable mobile suits.

The HG Gyan (Hakuji Equipment) faithfully recreates the mobile suit’s distinctive appearance using molded color parts, giving the kit a sharp and anime-accurate finish straight out of the box. Its articulation allows for a wide range of action poses inspired by scenes from the series, while the movable mono-eye adds extra personality and intensity to display options.

The Gundam Dryon III first appeared in the Japanese arcade game Mobile Suit Gundam: Try Age before making its way into the GunPla scene as a customized variation of the Gundam Tryon III through Hobby Hobby Imaging Builders. It later gained wider recognition in Gundam Build Fighters Battlogue, where it was built and piloted by Minato Sakai

This kit is based on the original HGBF 1/144 Gundam Tryon III, featuring the same molds cast in striking black plastic with gold foil stickers that enhance its regal appearance. The Gundam Dryon III retains all of the original kit's transformation and combination gimmicks, allowing builders to recreate its unique assembly process.

This impressive kit includes the mobile suit’s signature weapon, the Tiger’s Hand—a massive claw-like arm capable of firing powerful beam attacks. Roughly the same length as the Gundam itself, the weapon can be mounted on the backpack when not in use, doubling as a booster unit.

Designed by mechanical artist Kanetake Ebikawa based on concept art by Ryoji Kansai, Gundam Lfrith Jiu stands as the central mobile suit of Vanadis Heart. Its distinct shell unit is prominently featured on its face, with additional units integrated into the shoulders and chest.

The kit also includes clear effect parts and optional foil stickers to replicate both the activated and inactive states of the shell units, allowing builders to customize its appearance to match their preferred display style.

One of the kit's standout features is the bright red chest Shell Unit, which recreates the Gundam Calibarn's appearance at Permet Score Five. The effect is achieved through in-mold molding technology, allowing the part to capture the vibrant color and layered detail seen in the anime. The kit is also packaged in full-color artwork exclusive to this release.

Bandai Spirits expands the Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury HG lineup with the Desultor, the predecessor to the Dilanza. Released in 1/144 scale, the kit features entirely new molds that faithfully recreate the mobile suit's distinctive design and extensive equipment loadout.

In The Witch from Mercury, six Desultor units were supplied by Shaddiq Zenelli to the Dawn of Fold during the attack on Plant Quetta. The move was intended to divert suspicion toward Jeturk Heavy Machinery, making the mobile suit an important part of one of the series' key events.

The Heingra played a key role during the Vanadis Incident, when Cathedra forces launched an assault on Fólkvangr. The official Bandai Spirits booth at the 61st All Japan Model and Hobby Show has revealed a new expansion set for the separately sold HG 1/144 Darilbalde, HG 1/144 Gundam Pharact, HG 1/144 Michaelis, and HG 1/144 Guel's Dilanza.

The set includes equipment used by the mobile suits during the second season of Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury, allowing builders to recreate their upgraded appearances and weapon loadouts from the anime.

For the Darilbalde, the expansion set includes two Daya Ambika shield drones, four Gussa Isvara units, an alternative backpack conversion, and composite arms equipped with beam swords. The Gundam Pharact receives a pair of Beam Calivers, while the Michaelis gains its Javelin Bracer.

Also included is a magenta-colored beam effect part for Guel's Dilanza, allowing builders to recreate its Beam Partizan with greater anime accuracy.

The "Mobile Suit Gundam UC (Unicorn)" OVA series expands its model kit collection with the addition of two Geara Zulu machines to the HGUC series, including the Gilboa custom (sold separately). The HGCE 1/144 Mighty Strike Freedom Gundam [Recirculation Color/Neon Blue] is set to return in September 2026 for $39 USD via P-Bandai USA.

First released as a special pre-sale item during Inazuma Rock Fest, this version of the Mighty Strike Freedom quickly became a standout thanks to its striking black-and-neon blue Recirculation Color design.

Built using EcoPla recycled materials, the kit features vivid neon highlights paired with special Recirculation marking seals that give the mobile suit a futuristic look while supporting Gundam’s sustainability initiative.

The release still includes all the impressive gimmicks from the original HGCE Mighty Strike Freedom Gundam kit, including the “SEED Action System” for dynamic posing.

The independently movable hip joints allow for more dramatic aerial poses, while the forehead cannon can be displayed in its deployed state through part swapping. The waist railguns can also open for full-burst mode displays, alongside included beam sabers, beam shield effects, and grips for recreating the combined beam saber configuration.

The RG 1/144 THE GUNDAM BASE LIMITED ZGMF-X10A FREEDOM GUNDAM Ver.GCP is heading to U.S. Premium Bandai this September.

The special Ver.GCP edition is based on the life-size Freedom Gundam statue in Shanghai, China, which officially opened at Mitsui Shopping Park LaLaport Shanghai Jinqiao in May 2021 as part of the Gundam China Project. Bandai developed the GunPla with newly molded parts and details inspired by the massive statue.

The kit features revisions to the original Real Grade Freedom Gundam, including changes to its proportions and several exterior parts. The rail cannons also feature a color treatment based on the Shanghai statue.

Special parts are included to recreate the distinctive pose of the life-size Freedom Gundam. Support parts help hold the large wing binders in position, while dedicated hand parts allow builders to achieve a more accurate recreation of the statue’s stance.

The kit also includes realistic marking decals inspired by the markings seen on the Shanghai statue, along with the Freedom Gundam’s standard equipment, including its beam rifle, beam sabers, and shield.

Originally released in Shanghai in 2022 before receiving a release through The Gundam Base Japan in 2023, the RG Freedom Gundam Ver.GCP is now headed to U.S. Premium Bandai.

The kit is priced at US$50.00 and is scheduled to ship in September 2026.

RG 1/144 MSN-04FF Sazabi (Gundam SIDE-F ver.) [USA REISSUE]

The RG 1/144 MSN-04FF Sazabi returns for another release, giving GunPla fans another chance to pick up the Gundam SIDE-F exclusive version of Char's iconic mobile suit.

Originally released in April 2023, the special Sazabi was created to celebrate the 1st anniversary of the Gundam SIDE-F facility in Fukuoka. The mobile suit appeared in the special production video featuring the life-size RX-93ff ν Gundam, and Bandai Spirits recreated its unique equipment in Real Grade form.

The biggest feature of this version is the massive Double Horn Funnel, which replaces the standard Sazabi's usual backpack configuration. The large weapon can be detached from the backpack and configured as a pair of giant beam saber weapons or beam cannons, with dedicated effect parts included in the kit.

Match this kit with the RG 1/144 RX-93FF nu Gundam.

An Action Base 5 is also included, allowing builders to display the Sazabi together with the Double Horn Funnel in various configurations. The kit features newly designed Realistic Decals and molding colors based on the MSN-04FF Sazabi seen in the SIDE-F production video.
