The Strike Noir Gundam is returning to the METAL BUILD lineup with a new 20th Memorial Version scheduled for March 2027.

The original METAL BUILD Strike Noir Gundam was released in November 2022 as the METAL BUILD Strike Noir Gundam (Alternative Strike Ver.), priced at 30,800 yen. Now, the Strike Noir returns with a revised color scheme and updated specifications for the 20th anniversary of Mobile Suit Gundam SEED C.E.73 -STARGAZER-.

Priced at 39,600 yen, the new release features coloring designed to better match the Strike Noir's appearance in the anime. Its firearms also receive predominantly black coloring, fitting the "Noir" name.

The new release keeps the Noir Striker and its extensive weapon loadout while adjusting the set contents. One of the most notable updates is the addition of newly sculpted expressive wrist parts for the Beam Rifle Shorty, allowing for more dynamic poses with the compact weapons.

The Strike Noir is based on the GAT-X105E Strike E equipped with the AQM/E-X09S Noir Striker. The equipment was developed around the idea of handling different combat situations with a wide range of weapons, though the Strike Noir itself was heavily specialized for close-range combat.

Its arsenal includes the High-Energy Beam Rifle with grenade launcher, two Beam Rifle Shorties, Anchor Launchers and additional equipment carried through the Noir Striker. The mobile suit was also commonly deployed alongside the Blu Duel Gundam and Verde Buster Gundam, forming a three-mobile-suit team with different combat roles.

The Noir Striker itself is equipped with Phase Shift armor, made possible by the development of higher-capacity power packs. Due to the limited production of Phase Shift armor material at the time, the number of completed Noir Strikers was believed to be fewer than ten.

For the METAL BUILD version, the 20th Memorial release stands approximately 180mm tall and uses ABS, PVC and die-cast metal. The package includes the main unit, six types of interchangeable left and right wrist parts, Noir Striker backpack, High-Energy Beam Rifles, Beam Rifle Shorties, magazine holders, effect parts, Anchor Launchers, joint parts, support stand and dedicated display stand.
