Mass-Produced Riko to Air Its Final Episode on September 1st "Riko, Last Shooting!"

Riko (Yuuki Yoda) builds her most challenging model kit with her friends for a competition. What would be their fate?

The late-night TV Tokyo's drama "Mass-produced Riko -Assembling the Life of a Plastic Model Girl" is coming to its finale on September 1st at 12:30 AM (September 2nd).


The episode's trailer was posted today (August 26) by the official drama twitter page. It features a diorama of the RX-78-2 Gundam's final shooting and the Master Grade RX-78-2 Gundam Ver. 3.0 model kit.


As for now, there are no known English subtitled release of this popular Japanese TV drama series, but a Blu-ray box set was announced to be released sometime in December 2022 for 19,000 Yen. A DVD box set was also announced for 15,200 Yen.

Synopsys

Riko Komukai is an average person in everything related to personality, looks, tastes, sensibilities, and values. She works in event planning in the third department, also known internally as the "carefree department". One day she reflects on how a colleague called her a "mass-produced person". On a sudden desire, she finds herself in a model shop and comes across a "mass-produced" Zaku II from the Mobile Suit Gundam series. At the shopkeeper's recommendation, she tries to build her first plastic model. Riko is gradually drawn to the allure of plastic model kits, leading to an opportunity to rediscover herself.
