Premium Bandai has finally revealed one of the most anticipated 40th GunPla anniversary model kit entry! Just right in time for the Holidays, this kit will be rolling out its first shipment in December 2020.

A new method of model kit building has been made for this special kit, Bandai Spirits and GunPla 40th anniversary has introduced the Metal Injection Molding (MIM). The kit's exterior armor is fully molded in metal "Gundarium" parts that is also provided with fine detailing that represents the RX-78-2 Gundam in another perspective.

The kit is also provided with plastic inner framing parts with more compact material to accommodate the metal parts that are going to be attached to it.

A special display base is also provided which adds another impact to the actual display presentation of the kit. The display base is provided with acrylic material which is also laser engraved with EFSF logo, and RX-78-2 Gundam name at the bottom.

Also, a authenticity guarantee card is included that proves that it is an original product managed and manufactured by BANDAI HOBBY CENTER.

The packaging delivers a wonderful limited special edition feel with its matte black finish, with silver foil texts printed.

  1. So this is like the inverse of a metal build kit, where all the armor parts are metal and the joints are plastic?

  4. Thos nub marks make the thing look like a kid first painted gunpla he built with no nippers. This is disgusting and insulting that bandai would charge that much for a damaged out the box collectable

  5. It looks like all the metal parts are just on a tray, which is a shame. Trimming and finishing them could have been fun.

  6. If it isn't made from a fictional alloy only manufactured in space, can it really be called Gundarium?
