The cases contains prototype models. One that relates to the Gundam live action movie that is being produced by Legendary Pictures, and one that is being produced by Ken Okuyama.

JUICY!!
ReplyDeleteYou can see the RX-78 abd Zaku design in Gundam 40th anniversary trailer, and it sucks (for gundam design), I don't like it. Old Katoki MG design has more striking and better looks.
ReplyDeleteHG Live Action RX-78-2! Calling it now!
ReplyDeleteI feel like there's a higher chance that the Ken Okuyama design kit is going to be an RX-78-2. With that in mind, it doesn't make a whole lot of sense for two different RX-78-2 designs to be announced at the same time. I think there's a possibility that the live action Gundam kit is going to be a design we've never seen before.
DeleteNot a fan of the Ken Okuyama Gundam, but I like his Zaku design.

I agree, the rx-78 is a little bit too rounded for a fed suit, but the Zaku looks spot on Zeon.
DeleteNew banshee?
ReplyDeleteWhen I saw the picture for the first time, I thought the shape resembled the Banshee as well, with it's claw arm and smart-gun. It might just be the way it's posed though.
