As the starting point of the legendary RX Project, the 01 Gundam marked the Earth Federation Forces’ first step toward creating the RX-78 series. Its black-and-white color scheme and visor-style head unit, reminiscent of the RX-77 line, gave it a distinctive and experimental look. The Enhanced ZZ Gundam makes its debut in the Master Grade Ver. Ka lineup through Premium Bandai, offering modelers a chance to build this upgraded version of the iconic suit. The kit comes with all the parts needed to recreate the Enhanced form, molded in slightly different colors to distinguish it from the standard release. A dedicated water-slide decal sheet, designed specifically for this version, is also included for detailed finishing touches.
For those who already own the regular MG 1/100 ZZ Gundam Ver. Ka, an expansion set will also be made available separately. This option allows builders to upgrade their existing kit into the Enhanced configuration without purchasing the full set again.
Within the Universal Century timeline, the ΖΖ Gundam underwent significant upgrades late in the First Neo Zeon War, resulting in the Enhanced ΖΖ Gundam. To offset the added weight from extra armor, Anaheim Electronics reinforced the mobile suit’s mobility with high-output shoulder binders, improved body thrusters, and thrust-boosting packs mounted on the legs. The backpack was redesigned with a larger frame and fitted with four new thermonuclear jets, greatly improving overall performance.
Its armaments were reworked as well. The single-missile 21-tube launchers were replaced by twin 18-tube launchers, each supporting two-missile magazines for longer barrages. The armor received a beam-resistant fluorine resin coating, capable of withstanding direct hits from low-powered beams for several seconds. These refinements eventually served as the foundation for the FA-010S Full Armor ZZ Gundam, which addressed the structural shortcomings of its predecessors while bringing even greater firepower to the battlefield.

The Geara Doga Heavy Armed Type is a heavily modified variant of the standard AMS-119 Geara Doga from Mobile Suit Gundam: Char’s Counterattack MSV. It replaces the normal backpack with a custom heavy armament pack, featuring:
