HGAW 1/144 GX-Bit - Announced!

HGAW 1/144 GX-Bit

Release Date: January 2027

Price: 2,200 yen

The GX-Bit is finally getting its own GunPla release. BANDAI SPIRITS has announced the HGAW 1/144 GX-Bit for January 2027, adding the Newtype-controlled support mobile suit to the After War Gundam X GunPla lineup as part of the series' 30th anniversary celebration.

The FX-9900 GX-Bit was developed by the United Nations Earth Army as a Bit Mobile Suit designed specifically for Newtype pilots of the GX-9900 Gundam X. Through the Flash System, a Newtype pilot could remotely control multiple GX-Bits at once, allowing the mobile suits to operate as a coordinated combat force.

Up to 12 GX-Bits could be controlled simultaneously, creating a formidable support formation around the Gundam X. The GX-Bits share a similar design with the Gundam X, including its distinctive head and overall proportions, while carrying a weapons configuration based around the Gundam X's own equipment.

Each GX-Bit is equipped with a Satellite Cannon, beam sword, and Shield Buster Rifle. The Satellite Cannon is particularly important to the GX-Bit's role, allowing the units to unleash devastating long-range attacks under the control of a Newtype pilot.

The GX-Bits can also coordinate their Satellite Cannons in sequence. Multiple units charge their cannons one after another before firing, allowing the formation to maintain a continuous barrage of satellite-powered attacks against distant targets.

Unlike the Gundam X, the GX-Bit exists specifically as a remotely controlled combat unit. Its lack of an independent pilot allows a single Newtype to command multiple units through the Flash System, turning a group of GX-Bits into a powerful extension of the pilot's combat capabilities.

The HGAW 1/144 GX-Bit will be released in January 2027 for 2,200 yen. The kit will also be one of the GunPla releases tied to the 30th anniversary of After War Gundam X.
