P-Bandai: HGUC 1/144 Reben Wolf (Space Wolf Team Specification) [A.O.Z RE-BOOT Ver.]
Release Date: TBD
Price: 5,720 yen
The Reben Wolf is joining the Premium Bandai GunPla lineup with a new HGUC 1/144 release based on the Mars Zeon mobile suit featured in Advance of Zeta: Re-Boot. Priced at 5,720 yen, the kit is currently listed with a release date yet to be announced.
The AMX-014R Reben Wolf was developed through a Mars Zeon project centered on the AMX-014 Döven Wolf. The plan called for a modified version of the high-performance mobile suit that could be produced and delivered to Earth while keeping production costs under control.
To achieve this, the Reben Wolf shares several internal and external components with the Zaku III-R, a mobile suit officially adopted by Mars Zeon. This commonality helped simplify production and allowed Mars Zeon to produce the Reben Wolf in greater numbers without significantly reducing its combat capabilities.
The Reben Wolf also addresses some of the Döven Wolf's operational difficulties. The original mobile suit carries an extensive weapons package and Quasi-Psycommu systems, creating a powerful but demanding platform for ordinary pilots. Its high thrust output also contributes to its speed while affecting its maneuverability.
For the Reben Wolf, several weapons and propulsion systems were redesigned as optional equipment rather than permanently integrated systems. This allows the mobile suit's configuration to be adjusted according to the requirements of each mission.
The Space Wolf Team Specification represents another configuration of the Reben Wolf, adding a distinct equipment setup to the Mars Zeon-derived mobile suit. Its design combines the recognizable silhouette of the Döven Wolf family with components and systems developed specifically for the Reben Wolf project.
This already has the potential to be an extremely solid kit, just like the Reben Wolf was, and also gives hope for future Reben Wolf variants, like the Custom and the Fenris Wolf.
