The Gundam QuuuuuuX, emerges from the shadows of the One Year War—reborn through reverse-engineered data from the RX-78-02 White Gundam captured by Char Aznable in U.C. 0079. Developed by Zeon's surviving engineers, this machine pushes the limits of Newtype warfare with systems once thought sealed by taboo.

Equipped with the next-generation Omega Psycommu System, the GQuuuuuuX does away with conventional control. When initiated, the pilot’s own brainwaves seize full command of the mobile suit—unleashing terrifying reaction speeds, precision, and performance beyond human limits. Activation involves a double-layered sequence: a physical limiter key and the raw psychowave output of an awakened Newtype. Once engaged, the suit enters its Omega Drive Mode—restraints drop, brainwave interfaces materialize, and the pilot becomes one with the machine.

The Endymion unit, more commonly known as the Omega Psycommu, was a compact and advanced evolution of the earlier Alpha Psycommu System. While the Alpha-type allowed for remote weapon control, the Omega-type took a significant leap forward—enabling full brainwave control over the mobile suit itself. This system enhanced the pilot's reaction speed and overall performance but could only be operated by individuals with strong Newtype abilities.

Activating the Omega Psycommu involved a two-step process: first, a cassette-like “psycommu system boot device/limiter” was inserted into a dedicated cockpit slot. Then, the pilot had to emit sufficiently strong psychowaves to unlock the system. Upon activation, the restraints—doubling as head blade antennas—were released, a neural interface appeared in the cockpit, and the mobile suit entered a full psycommu-drive mode.

What sets the Omega Psycommu apart is its origin: it was developed using OOParts (Out-of-Place Parts)—advanced technology not native to its time, similar to the Rose of Sharon system. These mysterious components allowed it to autonomously generate Zeknova phenomena, pushing the boundaries of Newtype-based combat to an entirely new level.
