Bandai Spirits has announced the latest addition to the High Grade (HG) GunPla lineup—the Light Cannon, A.K.A. Light-Type Guncannon from Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX (G-Quax). This artillery-focused mobile suit was developed in response to Char Aznable’s capture of the Gundam and Pegasus, which shook the Earth Federation’s mobile suit program and led to a wave of new innovations.

Designed as a light artillery unit, the Light Cannon integrates Guncannon-inspired combat capabilities with the Core Block system, ensuring enhanced versatility and durability. Constructed from Luna Titanium alloy, it delivers exceptional battlefield performance, making it a formidable force in combat.

One of the most notable deployments of this mobile suit was at the Battle of Solomon, where a variant with a unique color scheme—differing from standard specifications—was confirmed to be in operation.
