Bandai Namco Holdings unveiled a promotional video for "GUNDAM: Next Universal Century," an exclusive experience featured in the GUNDAM NEXT FUTURE PAVILION at the 2025 World Expo (Osaka-Kansai Expo).

Designed as an immersive Gundam experience, the pavilion serves as a global hub where visitors can connect through the world of Gundam and explore the "future" together. Attendees will step into a new Universal Century, engaging all their senses with cutting-edge technology. The pavilion boasts an impressive depth of 18 meters and a height exceeding 8 meters, while its Haptic Floor—powered by Sony’s advanced haptic technology— delivers an unparalleled full-body sensory experience.

The showcase also features high-definition visuals crafted with Unreal Engine 5, delivering a 360-degree immersive journey into a world where humans and mobile suits coexist. Every moment will be designed to engage, captivate, and transport visitors into the future of Gundam like never before.

SYNOPSIS

The year is 2150. You arrive at Yumeshima, where a tour of the massive space station "Star Jaburo" awaits. Guided by Haro, you board an orbital elevator, beginning your ascent 36,000 km above Earth.

High above in geostationary orbit, Star Jaburo is a bustling hub where mobile suits tirelessly work to push humanity further into space. But just as you take in the marvels of this futuristic outpost, something goes wrong. A disturbance ripples through the vast expanse—the space debris being cleared suddenly behaves unnaturally. A mystery unfolds before your eyes, and you are thrust into an unforeseen event that could shape the course of this new Universal Century.

At the end of the promotional video, a mono-eyed mobile suit was teased for fans to look forward to! Is it going to be a newly designed Zaku to match the RX-78F00/E design? Let's find out soon!
