  1. It’s a testament to the incredible engineering of the original MG Dom that they only need to do an upgrade instead of a complete retooling like many other older MG kits!

  2. Bandai went with the retro look, much like the RX-78-2 Ver. 2.0 on the Dom. Not much details and panel lines. It is quite disappointing since it looks really no different from the HGUC kit. I am really hoping for a Guncannon Ver. 2.O. to complete the 0079 line.

    1. The Zaku 2.0 had little in the way of panel lining and detailing, and I've heard mostly praises for that kit.

    2. @Toji, people praised at Zaku 2.0 is because it was a big enginnering improvement over the previous Zaku 1.O much like RX-78-2 Ver 1.5 over the Ver 1.O. People were so amazed with the articulation that the apperance becomes secondary. But for Dom, it is about the look. No one expect Dom to bend its knee and does kneeling down poses.

    3. Just realize this Dom is not Ver 2.0, or even a Ver 1.5, just a rehash with some upgrade joint parts. No wonder its appearance looks disappointing.
