Gundam Manipulator (Hand) Furniture

In 2003, Bandai launched a piece of furniture that would grab the hearts of Gundam enthusiasts all around the world: life-size Gundam manipulators, or hands, designed to cradle you in comfort while you sat.

Despite its popularity, this magnificent piece of Gundam memorabilia had limitations. It was an exclusive item available only in Japan and cost 14,800 Yen. This exclusivity increased its attraction while also making it a rare treasure that worldwide admirers would have difficulty obtaining.

The magnitude of these Gundam hands was breathtaking. Although they were not full-scale copies of a 1:1 Gundam, they were considerable in size, measuring half or a fourth of the genuine Gundam's dimensions. This sizing makes them a useful addition to any room, providing both comfort and a strong visual impression.

Unfortunately, as is common with such rare collectibles, manufacturing was limited, and they are no longer available. This scarcity has only raised their appeal to fans and collectors. The dream for a reissue remains alive in the community, with many, including myself, eagerly anticipating the opportunity to buy one of these great pieces.
