A brand-new MGEX GunPla is on the way, and Bandai is keeping us guessing for just a little longer.
A mysterious teaser has appeared ahead of the upcoming BANDAI HOBBY new product announcement livestream, scheduled for August 25, 2026 at 8:00 PM JST, confirming that the next addition to the Master Grade Extreme lineup will be revealed during the broadcast.
For now, Bandai has only given us a small clue.
The teaser image features a purple background with flashes of yellow in the middle, while the MGEX logo sits front and center. Naturally, it has sent us straight into detective mode as we try to figure out which mobile suit is getting the next Master Grade Extreme treatment.
The MGEX line is one of Bandai's most ambitious GunPla series, with each release built around a specific "Extreme Point" that pushes a particular aspect of GunPla engineering and presentation. The previous MGEX releases have explored themes including Extreme Point: Light with the Unicorn Gundam, Extreme Point: Metallic Expression with Strike Freedom Gundam, and other high-end approaches to materials, construction, and mechanical detail.
So the big question is not just which mobile suit is coming next, but also what new "Extreme" concept Bandai has planned for it.
With the reveal happening tomorrow, the guessing game is officially on.
