The Mighty Strike Freedom Gundam is taking its next step into the GunPla lineup with a massive MGEX release.
The mobile suit from Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Freedom combines the Strike Freedom Gundam Type II with the Proud Defender, replacing its familiar Super DRAGOON wings with an entirely new system capable of taking its combat abilities even further.
The Proud Defender can deploy nanoparticles for both offense and defense, including a spherical barrier capable of protecting the mobile suit from attacks in every direction. It can also unleash powerful electrical attacks across a wide area.
Its additional output also gives the Mighty Strike Freedom access to its ultimate weapon, the Convergent Heavy Nucleon Beam Cannon "Disruptor," something the Strike Freedom Type II could not activate on its own.
And then there is the Futsunomitama, the massive physical sword that became one of the Mighty Strike Freedom's signature weapons.
