GunPla Lineup May 2023

Bandai Spirits showcases their GunPla lineup for the month of May 2023! This includes 2 regular releases featuring the High Grade Guncannon from the Mobile Suit Gundam: Cucuruz Doan's Island film, and High Grade Heindree Sturm from Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury anime series. Also don't forget the HGAC 1/144 Gundam Deathscythe Hell from the New Mobile Report Gundam Wing series that will be released via Premium Bandai.

HG 1/144 RX-77-02 Guncannon [Cucuruz Doan's Island Ver.]

The Gundam NEXT Future event reveals a new GunPla product from the Mobile Suit Gundam: Cucuruz Doan's Island film. It has been decided that the RX-77-02 Guncannon will be making its debut in the High Grade 1/144 scale GunPla series soon! Not only that, the kit was also announced to be released as a regular retail model kit.

The kit comes with both of its standard cannons and spray missile launchers for (Kai and Hayato) variation purposes. It also comes with its beam rifle as its main weapon unit.

HG 1/144 Heindree Sturm

The Heindree Sturm arrives in the High Grade GunPla series from the Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury anime. This kit shares its molds with its predecessor, Heindree, added with newly molded parts and dark color scheme which is faithful to its first appearance in the anime's 4th episode.

Premium Bandai has officially added the Gundam Deathscythe Hell in the High Grade After Colony GunPla series with May 2023 as its initial release. The Deathscythe Hell was made as an upgrade from its first version, that made the mobile suit adapt combat in space!

The kit shares few of its molds from the HGGB 1/144 Gundam Live Lance Heaven with of course completely new molded parts to form this original counterpart.

The Build Γ [Gamma] Gundam makes its return in the Build Divers Re:Rise model kit series from its first appearance in the Gundam Build Divers Break manga side story.

The kit is based on Rick Dias from the Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam anime series. This custom Gundam was built and piloted by Onoko. The kit also shares the same molds from the HGUC Rick Dias. Despite its old molds, the kit offers a bunch of newly molded parts, starting off with its head piece and equipment!

Bandai Spirits has also improved the articulation of the kit by providing new parts for its arm and leg joints to adapt the styling and gimmicks of today's GunPla standard.

Each expansion kits can also be installed individually to produce both Sword Striker, and Launcher Striker packs separately. Special connectors that goes to the Ver. RM Aile Striker Pack are also included in the kit to form a Perfect Strike Gundam, it is also provided with lighter weight plastic materials for better stability and to avoid backpack weight issues.

The long awaited Impulse Gundam variant is finally coming to the Master Grade GunPla series! Offering new colors for the Impulse Gundam unit, the Blast Impulse Gundam also comes with entirely new mold for its "Blast Silhouette" offering variety of gimmicks.

The Impulse Gundam unit shares the same mold with the MG Force Impulse Gundam that was released back in 2008. Given its old parts, this kit still stands in today's GunPla standards! This release also marks the 16th anniversary of the Mobile Suit Gundam: SEED DESTINY anime series.

The Messer F02 Type from the Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway emerges in the HGUC model kit series. This kit shares the same molds with the regular retail released HGUC Messer with added armors on its leg units. This kit is also aligned to the release of the Premium Bandai HGUC 1/144 Messer F-02 Type Commander unit that came in a different color schematics.

This kit is also packed with a head part that can produce a commander unit by installing the included extra antenna piece. Equipment includes a long beam rifle, beam saber, and a shield.

The Messer F02 Type (Commander) comes to Premium Bandai exclusive series with lots of newly molded parts compare to its regular retail released HGUC Messer. This kit also has enough parts to convert the F02 type into F type unit - a unit that is reproduced without the shoulder armor, leg armors and shield installed.

The kit also came with the newly molded head provided with antenna to specify a commander machine. It is completed with its long beam rifle, beam saber, and shield.

The Zaku Phantom from the Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny gets its Master Grade model kit from Premium Bandai. The kit shares the same molds with the P-Bandai: MG 1/100 Blaze Zaku Warrior which is now molded in green plastic as its main color.

The kit is also compatible with the sold separately Wizard System set which can also be combined with the recently announced MG 1/100 Gundam Astray Out Frame D. The Wizard System can also produce the Slash Zaku Phantom, and Gunner Zaku Phantom variants.

The Gundam Side-F Facility at Mitsui Shopping Park LaLaport FUKUOKA, where the 1:1 scale RX-93FF nu Gundam is located, will celebrate its one year anniversary on April 22, 2023. To celebrate the occasion, Bandai Spirits announces that they will be launching the “Dual Horn Funnel” type Sazabi in May 2023.

This kit contains newly molded parts for its "Double Horned Funnel" which can be equipped as a dual barrel type cannon when equipped on its backpack or as main long range cannons when wielded by Sazabi.

The Gundam Base Japan has announced the release of Master Grade Dom 2022 in its Clear Color version with a May 3rd release. The kit is presented with clear black and purple armor pieces, while its inner frame and equipment are molded in metallic gray color.

The kit is completed with Dom's accessories and equipment, which include a giant bazooka, a raketen bazooka, heat rod, sturm faust, and a machine gun.

From the Mobile Suit Victory Gundam comes the clear color version of the V2 Assault Buster Gundam to join the Gundam Base Japan limited model kit series. The kit is featured with clear colored main armor pieces. Also, to maintain the durability of each connections, it is provided

with the joint parts with the same materials used for its regular release.

The kit is completed with variety of accessories and equipment to form the V2 Gundam into its Assault, Buster, and Assault Buster variants, but do note that this kit only comes with one V2 Gundam unit.

The official Bandai China flagship store via T-Mall has lined up a series of GunPla featured with "Cyber-esque" color schemes, along with cyber style decals to complete the experience.

The lineup includes 3 GunPla (two perfect grades and a master grade) model kits that are limited to 3,000 production units each. Pre-orders start via T-Mall Bandai webshop from November 1st, 2022, with a shipment date of May 2023.
