  1. This looks waaaay better than the Dragon Momoko version. Kudos to them for making the first kit a few years ago, but I'm glad Bandai finally made this.

    1. I agree. The devine striker is waaaaay better. Astray outframe D will come out next.

  2. I'm excited for this and all, but the shoulder armor where the flap is connected looks really rudimentary. I'm hoping this is a solid kit, as Testament is one of my favorite designs.

    1. It looks like it uses Aile Strike ver.RM runners for the frame so use that as the basis. Personally I never had problems with the RM shoulders.

    1. Considering this is a P-Bandai kit, we may get the Divine Testament Gundam later with the white and gray colors.

    2. @LG
This is divine testament, testament with divine striker pack like in the promo posters.

  4. Oh my goodness, Bandai might be a bit late on this one but WOW does Testament look good. Those dual handguns especially, I'd buy this thing JUST for those. Also I do wonder how much leftover Astray parts this might come with, it'd be real neat if you could make a Testament colored Astray from what's included, or at the least the head, the feet, those are the only parts I'd really like to have the options for

    1. Judging from the pict, it'll use gat-x frame series as the base, so no astray leftover. Well, testament and outframe are zaft original, not astray-based suit in the first place.

      Delete
    2. It's a Strike Ver RM remold so no there wouldn't be any Astray parts.

      Delete
    3. It's more likely to have leftover Freedom and/or Justice parts. As a ZAFT prototype stolen from by the EA, it's got no Astray DNA whatsoever. You're thinking of the Astray Out Frame, which was assembled from an incomplete set of spare parts for this thing, with the missing pieces being filled in with custom bits by Lowe who then termed it an Astray, because everything is an Astray to that guy.

    4. In Lowe defense, he named all gundams he "picked up" as astray because.... it separated and/or abandoned by the original owner/faction, and Out Frame's real name never mentioned by Zaft, means it forgotten/abandoned prototype/project.

  5. At long at last!! This is the best Master Grade i ever seen! Is about several years Bandai never made this and so happy for that.

  6. i'm guessing that the Astray Out Frame isn't too far behind (probably another P-Bandai release)

  7. So after raiding Dragon Momoko factories and confiscating all their stuff, I wonder if Bandai just retooled their molds and sold it as what it is now. Seems fishy :/

    1. They would have had to do some pretty extensive retooling, then, which is kinda weird when they have entire teams devoted to CADing their designs instead of ripping off some third party company that was putting out bootlegs of their own merchandise. My guess is they figured there was a market for this design and decided to release their own version, using their own frame system that DM copied wholesale in the first place.

    2. @5ilv3rPh4nt0m The molds don't look AT ALL like each other, and insinuating Bandai would raid a low quality 3rd party company to reuse their mold is beyond thoughtless. Take a look at both molds side by side.

  8. They finally released it.....They P—Bandai'd it though. —_—

  9. Is it just me or does it really look like a cockroach when it's wings are closed. Lol

  10. Plutone, barbatos expansion set, and now this. I'll be broke by the end of the year.

  11. X09A Justice✔
    X10A Freedom✔
    X11A Regenerate
    X12A Testament✔
    X13A Providence✔

    One more to go Bandai!!

    1. If bandai made regenerate mg, it gonna be one of the biggest mg ever lol

      Delete
    2. The size alone makes Regenerate unlikely to happen. If Bandai hasn't seen fit to make a MG Psycho Gundam or Neo Zeong, there's no way they're going to make a Seed kit in that size range.

  12. Huh. And here I was thinking about trying to track down one of the remaining Dragon Momoko versions just a few days ago. Sweet.

    ReplyDelete

    1. Don't worry, pretty sure this one is just a retool of Dragon Momoko's version when they raided their factory.

      Delete
    2. This one doesn't even resemble the DM version. Like at all. So no, this one is not a retool of the DM version.

      Delete
    3. Exactly, the chest vents on this ones has the proper yellow trim around black, no grey unnecessary redesigns on the knees and other details, the Trikeros Kai's fingers being articulated. And the best part is the handguns Having the engraved "ZGMF-X12A" like how Freedom, Justice and Providence have their model numbers on the kit.

  13. If the frame is based on the RM version, I wonder how it will hold up due to the material being PS and not ABS. I believe we all know how rigid X-frame Seed based kits are, and these armaments look pretty heavy...

  14. FYI, this will probably sell out fast on the USA P-Bandai site. The Singapore site is already sold out...Gonna have to jump on this one quick.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Singapore's P-Bandai has pathetically low quota. I'm sure there will be more stocks coming from HK/China/Japan.

  15. Ya know....when ever PBandai US wants to put this up for Pre-order wouldbwould fine by me....

    1. Right? I check the site multiple times a day. I don't want to miss out on this one at all.

    2. No kidding.

I could buy it from KuramaShop but itd have to go by FedEx or DHL which is 60 bucks to the states...

  16. The launcher striker and sword strike we see in some photos... which option set are they from ?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. They're from the p-bandai LAUNCHER STRIKER / SWORD STRIKER PACK for MG 1/100 AILE STRIKE GUNDAM Ver. RM

      Delete
    2. Late reply sorry. It's Pban launcher/strike pack for MG strike RM.

  17. was it this or the gurren that came first? I can't honestly remember

    ReplyDelete
  18. Man... can't they just reissue the astray red dragon instead of this? The red dragon price is overkill right now

    ReplyDelete
  19. Is this a US reissue? Because it's not on the P-Bandai site. I, don't want to miss this thing again.
