Mobile Suit Gundam: Cucuruz Doan's Island Reveals New Key Visuals and Trailer

The Mobile Suit Gundam: Cucuruz Doan's Island official Twitter page has revealed new updates for the upcoming movie, including two new key visuals, and trailer featuring Amuros' RX-78-02 Gundam Doan's Zaku II in action.


The movie focuses on an in depth story telling of the 15th episode of the original Mobile Suit Gundam anime that first aired in 1979, which also bears the same title. It is set to release on June 3rd in 185 theaters in Japan nationwide.

Bandai Spirits also announced two new model kits related to the movie. This includes the release of both RX-78-02 Gundam, and Doan's Zaku II in High Grade Universal Century (HGUC) GunPla series lineup via official Premium Bandai shop.

Also, to celebrate the Zaku day, they also revealed a silhouette teaser for the Southern Cross Corps that Doan lead during his service with the Principality of Zeon.

    I hope we get the Origin version of the RGM-79 GM from this. It wouldn't be too much work retooling the Origin RX-78-2 considering how it uses a lot more parts from the RX-78 than the OG GM did.
