Gundam: Cucuruz Doan Island Southern Cross Corps Zaku Variants Revealed

The previously teased silhouettes for the upcoming Zaku variants from the Mobile Suit Gundam: Cucuruz Doan's Island has been revealed along with each assigned pilots by the official Cucuruz Doan's Island twitter account on March 31st.

The revealed Zaku units appeared to be ground type High Mobility Type Zaku II piloted by the Southern Cross Corps - an elite group in which Cucuruz Doan used to be a member of.

From left to right we have Danan Rashica, Selma Levens, Egba Atler, Wald Ren, and Yun Sanho.

Danan's Zaku equips a regular Zaku II machine gun and two heat hawks holstered on both of its skirt armors. Selma's is equipped with a Bazooka and heat Zaku dagger holstered on its side skirt armor. Egba's Zaku II is equipped with Zaku II Machine Gun installed with heat bayonet just like what Johnny Ridden's Zaku II is equipped with. Wald's Zaku II features a long barrel machine gun along with heat hawk on its sides skirt. Yun Saho's also features with regular Zaku II machine gun along with a heat dagger holstered to its side skirt.

The movie will focus on a deeper retelling of the story of the original 1979 Mobile Suit Gundam's 15th episode bearing the same title. The movie was announced to be screened in Japan on June 3rd in 185 theaters in Japan, nationwide.

Bandai Spirits also announced two new model kits related to the movie. This includes the release of both RX-78-02 Gundam, and Doan's Zaku II in High Grade Universal Century (HGUC) GunPla series lineup via official Premium Bandai shop.
