Netflix to Stream Gundam Hathaway Exclusively

The official Gundam Info Youtube channel has released a trailer for the Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway announcing that it will be streamed in Netflix exclusively starting July 1st of 2021.


The movie was originally planned to be screened on July 23, 2020, but due to pandemic, the film had to be delayed for not just once, but three times until its final screen day on June 11th.

Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway also known as Hathaway's Flash is a trilogy movie adaptation of the Yoshiyuki Tomino's 1989 Hathaway's Flash novel. The trilogy movie is part of the UC NexT 0100 project which focuses on Mobile Suit Gundam series within and after the UC 0100 timeline.

  1. Saw it online yesterday. I never read the novel, but I understand the central point that Hathaway is rebelling against once again corrupted Earth Federation. However, after watching the movie, I just felt the story is weak and makes no sense at various points. Only three movies, or time for 6 1-hour TV episodes, guess it is not easy to full develop the characters and the plot. This feels like Gundam Narrativeish....not satisfying like Thunderbolt. Maybe the next two movies will improve the stroyline.
