Release Date: August 2020
Price: 2,530 Yen
The Gundam Aegis Knight comes in to the action celebrating the release of the Gundam Build Divers Re:Rise's second season on April 9, 2020! This custom GunPla is the successor to the Justice Knight Gundam that appeared in the first season which was built and piloted by its Diver, Kazami Torimachi.
This customized GunPla is based on Aegis Gundam, equipped with Knight type equipment that can also be used as flight system parts on its Flight Form. Not only that, the kit can also be switched into two more modes! The assault form, and united weapon mode.
The kit is provided with addition joint parts to combine the kit with other Hiroto's BUILD DIVERS team model kit series. When combined together, you can create the Re:Rising Gundam in its regular colors. - A golden "GRAND CROSS" color version of the final battle state of the combined kit can be availed in September 2020 as a separate stand alone kit.

Now this is nice!
ReplyDeleteWell I guess that answers it already, HG Aegis Gundam Revive lesgooooooooo
ReplyDeleteYes! Finally a chance we might actually get an 1/144 HGCE Aegis Gundam!
ReplyDeleteIsn't it more likely based on saviour than aegis though?
ReplyDeleteIt's transformed shape was more saviour than aegis, and the 'attack mode' was basically a gundam with it's arm bended forward with it's waist rotated 180 so that it's legs can bend forward too..
maybe bandai will use it to make a savior gundam and aegis gundam, because i agree transformed it looks more like the savior
DeleteConsidering the shape of it's feet... it's totally an Aegis Gundam.
DeleteYeah but some of its parts are 90% the same as Aegis'.
DeleteShape of the transformation has nothing to do with what it's based on. It looks to have the same frame and head as Aegis and no similar parts to the Saviour.
DeleteNah. While there's only a little Aegis in it, there's basically no Savior in this thing. Honestly, the thing is largely custom. The backpack / shoulder armor gimmick is a modified 00 Sky. The flip over "flight mode" nose is from Kyrios / Harute / Zerachiel (though the nose itself is custom). Helmet is custom, shoulder armor is custom, chest is custom, skirt is custom, most of the lower legs are custom, most of the shield is custom. Out of this entire kit, probably only the upper part of the shield, face, arms, calfs, and feet are usable for an updated Aegis.
DeleteBut hey, they had to make a ton of unique parts to get from Justice Knight -> HGCE Infinite Justice, so I'm still hopeful.
While I agree that it does have no Savior except, like, 80% of it's transformation system (which is also similar to Kyrios sans the flip cover backpack), if this kit is any indication that new HGCE Aegis is on the store, then bandai will have to make a brand new frame, or it will be a downgrade from the existing 1/144 Aegis (it has a perfect transformation system, which is nothing compared to this kit). Or they can use the existing Aegis kit and use it as it's base.
DeleteI still think this kit only has Aegis in it's name only for how it can mimic Aegis' transformation gimmick, that is MA flight mode and attack mode. I think it is still based on the Justice Knight frame.
I do hope bandai will release a hgce aegis revive, but seeing how this kit only use aegis for some parts of the armor and not the frame (and thus, the transformation gimmick), I have my doubt...
DeleteHGCE Aegis Gundam soon?
ReplyDeleteSeams pretty unlikely, theres far too little parts to recycle. Its gonna end up like wolf bois Alton.
DeleteAccording to this images and how it transforms it feels like it barely has any aegis parts at all. Like the only elements of this I see the aegis in are the legs, every other part is almost and totally different, I don't see the same gimmicks that the old aegis has but more articulate or detailed. I just see a completely new mobile suit design with aegis calfs and that's pretty dissapointing
ReplyDeleteI'm curious if you had that same reaction to Gundam Justice Knight, considering that it led to HGCE Infinite Justice last season regardless of the change in design (no Fatum style gimmick amongst other things)...
DeleteWith that being said, I'd say this is standard fare for most Gundam Build series which make a new MS based on an old one yet to receive a place in the HGUC line. HGBF Build Strike led to HGCE Aile Strike, Fenice led to TV Wing, and so on. The dissonance, meanwhile, is about the same as what people thought of the Core Gundam at first.
The thing about the Justice Knight is, while it doesn't have Fatim backpack, the core body is largely a copy of Infinite Justice. The torso, the arms, and the legs are pretty much identical with the Infinite Justice.
DeleteCompare that to this one. Real Aegis have its chest hinged up to reveal a stomach cannon (which you can totally do on the old HG Aegis). This one, though, looks like the chest isn't going to be engineered that far. The chest looks more conventional Gundam than the Aegis. The arms are not identical, too. The only thing that is identical is the lower pegs, but even then, the feet are not engineered to be like Aegis. The similarities are much less in the Aegis Knight.
@TouyaShiro everything you said just show how dump you are , every build custom kits you named are 70% identical to the originals MS so it easy to make their revive ver while the Aegis Knight is totally different from the original , explain to me how are they going to make a revive aegis ??
DeleteThis is probably meant to take inspiration from the Aegis (obviously) and the Saviour? Atleast from what I can tell from the form with the X-Wing fuselage up front. The Aegis MA mode is just... disappointing. I was hoping it would be more like the actual Aegis but it now just looks stupid.
ReplyDeletewhen suddenly justice is weaker than aegis gundam... :(
ReplyDeleteInfinite Justice at that! lmao
DeleteBut hey, that's the fun of the Gundam Build universes being what they are - you can customise even the jobbers to perform extremely well and compete against stuff that would be far stronger than the base unit!
To be fair, that is mostly because a certain idiot took one of the most heavily armed gundams in the franchise and stripped it down to nothing but a shot lancer, a metal sword, and a shield.
DeleteRemember how a Ball beat the crap out of multiple advanced Zeon Mobile suits back in Gundam Build Fighters?
DeleteThe nose of the flight mode reminds of the x-wing. Especially the cockpit thing 😂😂😂
ReplyDeleteYou can make it more X-Wing like if you used parts from AGE-2, especially the arms.
DeleteI think I figured it out. After looking at the Airmaster Burst P-Bandai images, I am certain that is based off of the Airmaster. The shoulder armor looks like it rotates the same way and the flight mode is shockingly similar.
ReplyDeletereally bandai no gaint effect part to add to the knight to react the aegis knight blocking the attack in episode 21?
