Gundam Build Divers: Re-Rise season 2 reveals more GunPla in the horizon! Adding the Uranus Planet system to the Core Gundam II's main body will produce Uraven Gundam! This Gundam specializes long range attacks using its sniper rifle.
Details about its capabilities will be available once season 2 starts.

The kit comes with a unit of Core Gundam II that can transform into a core flyer mode by itself, equipped with a huge shield that can act as an aerodynamic armor when in flight mode. The shield can be used as an added booster pack when it's equipped with the Uranus planet system.
It will also come with a dedicated base for display purposes.
Woah that looks great
ReplyDeleteLove it, excepting the hollow undersides on the funnels and the Wing Gundam-esq transformation for Core Gundam. Never really liked the look of those style transformations. But again I think it looks great and I'm really looking forward to it after making a Earthree.
ReplyDeleteThis one is arguably the best looking configuration of planet system so far. The colors just matched with each other, the destiny face also give it more furious looks than ever.
ReplyDeleteI have two guesses. 1: This will be the new default armor 2: Those things on the armor's backpack are bits
ReplyDeleteBased on today's episode, camera bits. Certainly a nice change from the usual bits/funnels/fangs that fly around shooting things.
DeleteWell, according to the manual, they shoot, too!
Deletethis is the only core gundam kits that i would like to buy. other core gundam kits looks disproportion.
ReplyDeletedon't know how i feel about the BIG shield sticking out like a tail, but i can come around it.
ReplyDeleteFunctionally it's quite similar with Kyrios' back that would cover its head in flight form, meanwhile for me Uraven's back looks like a cape since it's red and sticking out
DeleteAll i can tell from this design is it's just a walking commercial for MG Kyrios, you can tell how it shares something in common with Kyrios' design
ReplyDeletenow i can't unsee how the core gundam ii's face resembles kyrios'.
DeleteI'd say that's a side effect of who designed it. Takayuki Yanase was the one who designed Kyrios (and its successors), but he worked together with Kanetake Ebikawa for the main MS of Celestial Being. My take is that the way it looks is very similar to Anno Domini in general for this reason - it's a big reason why the Core Gundam bears slight resemblance to the AGE-1 Normal (which was in itself a homage to the RX-78-2).
DeleteAh yes, finally I can build a brand-new Uraven Gundam.... In two months!

I hope they make the extra camera INCOMS on the legs.
ReplyDeleteThey did! Though they don't include the wires, so you'll need to get some of your own wire if you want the full INCOM effect.
Deleteits kinda weird to think that in universe the rifle existed long before the series starts and Uraven was literally just a response to the Alus that amounts to "nuh-uh, im a better sniper than you and ill prove it"
ReplyDeleteNo it wasn't, in episode 17 we see Hirito pull out Uravens taped up box, meaning it's likely something he made to enhance his sniping abilities, but whatever happened to Eve made him hate it enough that he didn't want to see it anytime soon.
DeleteIt's said in the manual that to combat the upgraded One-eyes on Eldora, he had to bring out an armor he had sealed in the past, which was Uraven Gundam. He himself mentions it's not exactly new at the end of Episode 18.
DeleteAs for the backstory behind Uraven and why it was sealed, I guess we'll be waiting for Episode 19 to elaborate...
so essentially that flashback was just the core gundam randomly using the Uraven's rifle? i mean im not gonna doubt that he had the armor under raps it just that i inferred that the image that gave birth to the Alus earth three being a sniper rather than an all-rounder is it seeing the Earth three using the U7 rifle. from that the reasonable assumption was made that rather than immediately making a new armor he might have just made the rifle and later made a support system for it but never got the chance to use it do to backstory. this would also explain why the episode ends focusing on the Rifle itself and how much focus it got because if he did have and use the Uraven prior the Alus would be wearing a Uraven armor and not Earth three.
Deletethe framing of the story heavily implies my view but what the can be inferred from remarks from the character and auxiliary material imply a counter to it. the last thing im gonna say is that the Uraven existing prior to the series' start doesnt inherently disprove my assumption as its very clear that the entire armor is built around the rifle, rather it calls into question why there was no recording of the armor the rifle was made for
