Fans of Mobile Suit Gundam X have a new reason to keep an eye out while traveling across Japan.
The “Gundam X Is Always There” project has officially begun as part of the TV series’ 30th anniversary celebration. Starting September 14, 2026, a total of 39 different posters, each based on one of the anime’s 39 episodes, will be displayed at Gundam-related facilities and other locations across Japan.
Each poster focuses on memorable scenes and characters from its respective episode, giving fans a chance to revisit moments from the series through a collection of artwork spread across the country.
The display locations will be revealed gradually through the official Gundam X account, so fans will have to keep watching for new location announcements. You might even come across one while visiting a Gundam facility or traveling around Japan.
Campaign for Japan residents
The project also includes a special social media campaign starting today.
Fans can quote repost the designated campaign post on the official Gundam X account with a photo of something or a scene that reminds them of Gundam X, along with the required hashtag. 30 winners will receive a special mini-poster.
The campaign runs alongside the nationwide poster project, adding another way for fans to celebrate the series’ 30th anniversary.
With 39 episodes and 39 different posters, the project offers a pretty fun challenge for dedicated Gundam X fans. Finding them all would be quite the collection goal.
