P-Bandai: HGUC 1/144 MSN-06S Sinanju Stein [Unicorn Ver.] [REISSUE]
Release Date: August 2026
Price: 3,080 yen

INITIAL RELEASE
Release Date: December 2019
Price: 2,860 yen

The original Unicorn MSV version of the Sinanju Stein is finally making its way into the High Grade Universal Century lineup, giving fans a chance to own the sleek prototype design that would later evolve into one of the most iconic mobile suits in the Universal Century timeline. Based on the HGUC Sinanju Stein [Narrative Ver.] molds, this release features updated parts and refreshed coloring to faithfully recreate the original Unicorn MSV appearance.

The kit comes packed with a solid loadout including the High Beam Rifle, Bazooka, Shield, and two Beam Sabers, making it look ready for action straight out of the box. With its sharp white armor, refined proportions, and clean mechanical detail, this version of the Sinanju Stein has that classic test unit vibe fans of Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn and the UC timeline are going to love.

The Sinanju Stein itself has one of the most fascinating histories in the Universal Century. Developed under the Earth Federation Forces’ “UC Project,” the name “Stein” means “stone” in German and Norwegian, symbolizing the mobile suit as a “jewel in the rough.” Anaheim Electronics created the Sinanju Stein as a testbed for the Psycho-Frame, an advanced material designed to directly respond to a pilot’s thoughts through Psycommu technology and the Intention Automatic System.

Its extreme mobility and overwhelming acceleration pushed the limits of what ordinary pilots could handle, to the point that many of its evaluations had to be conducted on autopilot. While it was considered almost impossible for normal humans to operate, the machine was secretly intended for Newtypes, with Anaheim Electronics planning to pass it to the Neo Zeon remnant group known as the Sleeves through a covert deal disguised as a robbery.

The Sinanju Stein would later become the foundation for two legendary machines: the RX-0 Unicorn Gundam and the MSN-06S Sinanju. Data gathered from the Stein’s testing is believed to have influenced the development of the Unicorn Gundam, while one stolen Stein unit was modified into Full Frontal’s famous Sinanju with adjusted response settings to make it more controllable. Because of that legacy, the Sinanju Stein is often referred to as “the stone from which Full Frontal’s Sinanju was hewn,” making this HGUC release feel even more special for longtime Universal Century fans.

  2. Could the bazooka be attached to the beam rifle as NT ver?

    1. I don't think so. The NT version was basically the Sinanju's beam rifle with a casing around it. (Which is why it was able to mount the grenade launcher and bazooka.) The "UC" version is a unique mold based on the Nu HWS rifle.

  3. Saw this coming a mile away. It was totally planned out on the HGUC Sinanju Stein (Narrative Ver) runners. Heck you could even have the shortened fuel tanks and the alternate leg pieces on the Narritive Sinanju Stein's leftover parts.

Shame, as always, its P-Bandai. I find it interesting how MG's and HG's like to alternate which one will be P-Bandai.

    1. No it's the original design from Unicorn MSV, the Narrative version was just lazy.

    2. This is the "original" Sinanju Stein- before the Sleeves stole it and decorated it into the red Sinanju and the Stein "NT" version.

I personally prefer this look, but I can understand why people would prefer the more decorated alternate versions.

  6. I knew this was going to be P-Bandai and rightfully so. Now I can safely assume that sadly, the Stark Jegan will be a P-Bandai MG release. I hope I'm wrong...

  9. Only disappointment here is it doesn't look like the sabers can be used in tonfa mode.

  10. So there were 2 Sinanju units.
Both were stolen, one was heavily modified into Frontal's red Sinanju with the other only receiving slight modifications and would be used by that wacko from Narrative.

  11. Great! Now can we get the red Sinanju with this level of articulation?
