Looks great. Though still sucks that it is still the old Unicorn HG so those ugly nub marks and seam lines will be a thing.
ReplyDeleteWow. Bandai used to take promotional pictures of the actual model when it is gold plated/coated. Incorporating some convinient poses plus clever lighting and and camera angles to hide the nubmarks.. I'm surprised they used CG this time. Whicg esentially "lies" more about the oob product.
ReplyDeleteI think I'll just wait for the Real Grade version they're almost certain to make eventually. It'll probably be a P-Bandai release and an even pricier one than usual due to the gold coating, but if this HGUC Phenex is going to cost around 50 bucks anyway, I'd rather save my money for RG quality.
ReplyDeleteI want one but with these nub marks!? Under gating is a must with these plated kits! How bout an rg? The normal one and the banshee have rg versions but this hasn't. Really disappointing.. .

It's not even chrome in the movie so these plated kits should be kept to P-Bandai/Gundam Base.
It's nt-d mode was released as regular flat gold and plated gold, both of them are retail.
