Mobile Suit Gundam THE ORIGIN TV Series Announced

The Mobile Suit Gundam THE ORIGIN series is getting its own re-edited version which will be separated in 13 episodes. All the works focuses around Char Aznable's story and how he became an ace pilot that is also known as the Red Comet.


The 13-episode TV series will be broadcast in April 2019 on NHK Terrestrial. SUGIZO will be responsible for the opening and ending songs of the TV version.

The Mobile Suit Gundam THE ORIGIN OVA consists 6 one-hour episodes that screened in Japan from 2014 to 2018.

    This flopped when they did it to unicorn, why break another OVA into poorly paced episodes.

      Sunrise has a reserved timeslot on TV they need to fill. When they don't have a new show for the current season they fill it with bulk like this.

    6 one-hour episodes into 13 20-minute or so episodes.

    That's like cutting out almost 1/3rd, it'll be a trainwreck.
