  1. Surely there is no way extra sleeve marking parts justify a ~1000yen increase in price over the original?

    1. Well it's probably gonna add a new gimmick to the beam rifle so it can equip the bazooka. Possible a way for it to go on the shield as well.

    2. The rifle is completely different from the original. But yeah, it definitely needs a stand among other things to be worth the price increase.

  2. So...basically a cross between the Sinuja ver Ka and the Sinanju Stein ver Ka? Not sure if the only difference from the Sinanju Stein is the sleeve markings.

Also why did they call it the Sinaju Stein if it was the original suit? Wouldn't make sense from a story perspective if they stole the Sinanju Stein and decided to shorten the name to Sinanju.

    1. Clue might be in the name. This seems to be a second unit of the Stein as indicated by the "-2" at the end.

    2. Because originally there was no Sinanju Stein, it was just the Sinanju that was stolen by the Sleeves. Then four years after the first light novel volume, the original source of Gundam Unicorn, it was retconned so the Sinanju Stein was stolen. Mobile Suit Variations are popular and the Sinanju was based off of Nu Gundam and Sazabi. So you just make a more Gundam-esque Sinanju and bam, you get a new design and model to sell. So in story the Sleeves removed or hid the Gundam looking parts and converted it to look more like Sazabi. Finally they added more boosters to the backback so that it would be faster for Full Frontal, The Second Coming of Char.

There is also a slight name change, the full name of the Sinanju Stein is MSN-06S Sinanju Stein. The Sleeve's variation is called the MSN-06S-2 Sinanju Stein. So that means a second Sinanju Stein was made or stolen and the Sleeves didn't want to add confusion for there being two Sinanju units.

  3. It'd be nice if there was a picture comparing it to the non-Narrative version.

  4. Ugh. Still no propper separation for the sleeves. I mean a reverse wash would be easy since there're not as many as the Sinanju. But still, they evan had that integrated in the RG Sinanju. This is just pute milking of moulds now.

    1. Agreed. Considering the minor changes from the existing MG (accessories, Sleeves markings) and the jacked-up price, you'd think they would at least engineer the Sleeves engravings to be parts-separated like on the RG, as you said.

Meh, I guess there's still one more chance for Bandai to make things right- on a possible MG Geara Zulu!

  6. I still prefer the original Stein. I'll get the HG kit instead. It'll look nice next to my HG Sinanju.
