Finally got the chance to build my HG Char's Zaku I from the Mobile Suit Gundam THE ORIGIN series. This Zaku appeared in the 4th episode of the OVA.

This type is the earlier version of Char's MS-05S Zaku I which has the spiked shoulder and a shoulder shield on its right arm, that looked almost like a Zaku II.

Anyway, I always love building the GTO series, since they offer new of articulation and new range of details for HG kits!

This kit shares the same body feature with Denim / Slender Zaku I and Black Tri-Star Zaku which will be released in Premium Bandai. I hand painted the kit with citadel paints and gave it some slight weathering here and there. I also applied some decals from Real Grade kits then finished it with matte top coating! The decal on its shoulder armor is always the downside because of the sticker seal decal. I shall change that to water slide to make it better.

• Joints are easy to move

CONS

• Decal for shoulder keeps pilling off
• It doesn't have a hole between the legs for action base which is really weird since most of their new kits have it...

Bandai will be continuing this series until the last episode of the Mobile Suit Gundam THE ORIGIN OVA series in 2018.
