Premium Bandai USA is releasing the RG Wing Gundam Zero EW in a new Pearl Gloss version to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Gundam Wing and the upcoming 30th anniversary of Endless Waltz.
Originally released as a limited event-exclusive item during C3×HOBBY 2015 and other C3 events that same year, the Pearl Gloss version of Wing Gundam Zero EW is finally making its return as part of Gundam Wing’s 30th anniversary celebration. The glossy pearl finish gives the mobile suit a brighter and more elegant appearance across the wings and white armor, while the Real Grade detailing still continues to hold up impressively years after its original release.
Originally appearing in Mobile Suit Gundam Wing Endless Waltz, Wing Zero was built using the Zero Frame system developed by the five Gundam Scientists. Its internal frame was designed to function separately from the armor, allowing the mobile suit to keep operating even after taking heavy damage. Its performance was said to surpass the Tallgeese, making it one of the strongest Gundams of its era.
In the Glory of the Losers manga, Wing Zero was rebuilt from the remains of the Wing Gundam Proto Zero and upgraded using wing binders based on the Tallgeese Flugel. This version combines features from both the TV anime and Endless Waltz designs, including its shield and Neo-Bird Mode transformation.
With Gundam Wing continuing its 30th anniversary celebration, this Pearl Gloss release is shaping up to be another must-have for longtime fans of Endless Waltz and the Real Grade lineup.
