Gundam Blog 05: Once Upon a Time when Gundam Inspired Guitars Were A Thing

One of the many things I love doing during my earlier years besides collecting GunPla was playing guitar. So, when Banpresto collaborated with the Japanese guitar manufacturer ESP - oh boy...It crushed me as I didn't have the money!

Gundam guitars...sigh, two of the things I love combined in one? One can only dream! I could only find them being available in Ebay, and a few Japanese auction sites from time to time but are not available for shipping in Canada. Someday maybe, someday.

Anyway, the collaboration has released two types of electric guitars, both of course were inspired from iconic weapons of the Mobile Suit Gundam franchise. One was designed after the RX-78-2 Gundam's beam rifle, and one was designed after the Zaku's heat hawk. Each were priced at 99,750 Yen.

A matching guitar bag for each respective guitars were also available for 9,450 Yen. The bags were printed with EFSF and Zeon logo at the front also on its strap.

The collection didn't end there! Along with the Mobile Suit Gundam guitars, were the sold separately guitar picks that were priced at 399 Yen each. A pick file binder for 1,094 Yen, and pick holders for 15,750 Yen.
