The RX-78-3 Gundam, following the attack on Side 7 in UC 0079, was initially used as spare parts for the RX-78-2 aboard the White Base. Its history diverges into two versions: one where it was transferred to Augusta Lab for magnet coating testing and another where it remained at Luna II as a test unit. Its final fate remains unclear. In various adaptations, the RX-78-3, or G-3 Gundam, had different roles. It appeared in Gundam the Ride: A Baoa Qu, was Amuro Ray's mobile suit in the Mobile Suit Gundam novel, and featured in both Char's Deleted Affair and Mobile Suit Gundam Side Story: Hidden Shadow of G, where it was involved in battles and underwent modifications.
Will probably be the final release of this kit, since future RG G-3 models will use the 2.0 frame.
