Only 10 Days Left Until the New Gundam Anime Is Revealed!

The countdown is almost over. In just 10 days, Gundam fans around the world will finally get their first look at a brand-new Gundam anime series during San Diego Comic-Con 2026.

The reveal will take place during the "GUNDAM Showcase 2026: Unveil the Next Gundam" panel on Thursday, July 23, where special guests from Japan will introduce the new series and share what's next for the Gundam franchise. The panel is scheduled from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM PDT in Room 6BCF.

Fans who can't make it to San Diego won't miss out. The "Gundam Series New Anime Announcement Special Program" will stream worldwide on GUNDAM CHANNEL INTL. at 11:00 AM PDT (2:00 PM EDT / July 24 at 3:00 AM JST, listed in Japan as July 23 at 27:00). The broadcast will feature the same major announcement revealed during the SDCC panel, with the streamv beginning during the second half of the presentation.

Beyond the anime reveal, Bandai Namco Filmworks is bringing plenty of Gundam activities to the convention. The Gundam booth will showcase displays for the newly announced video game GUNDAM ROGUE ORBIT, feature photo opportunities with Gundam statues and GUNPLA-kun, and offer event-exclusive merchandise and giveaways.

Visitors can also join the free GUNPLA Workshop, where participants can build a 1/144 RX-78-2 Gundam Workshop Kit Ver. and take it home. Sessions will run daily beginning 30 minutes after the convention doors open, with seating available on a first come, first served basis.

Panel attendees will also receive an exclusive swag bag while supplies last, including a Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway: The Sorcery of Nymph Circe mini poster, a T-shirt, a Gundam Card Game GUNDAM ROGUE ORBIT promotional card, an inflatable Beam Saber, a 1/144 RX-78-2 Gundam Workshop Kit Ver., a Gunpla shopping bag, a Gundam headband, and a Gundam introduction booklet.

With a new anime, a new game, exclusive collectibles, and what could be one of the biggest Gundam announcements in years, San Diego Comic-Con 2026 is shaping up to be an event fans won't want to miss. The wait is almost over. Only 10 days remain until the next chapter of Gundam is unveiled.
