Gundam Wing x Code Geass: Minuet Zero Officially Launches

One of the biggest crossover projects of 2026 has officially arrived. Released on July 10, Mobile Suit Gundam Wing x Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion - Minuet Zero brings together two of Sunrise's most beloved franchises in a story celebrating the 30th anniversary of Mobile Suit Gundam Wing and the 20th anniversary of Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion.

The manga is illustrated by Tomofumi Ogasawara, a familiar name to fans of both series. He previously worked on Mobile Suit Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz - Glory of the Losers and Code Geass: Lelouch of the Re;surrection, making him a natural choice to unite these two iconic series. The story is based on a scenario by Sunrise's Kojiro Taniguchi and is now being serialized on Kadokawa's Comic Newtype (KadoComi) platform.

Rather than taking place in an alternate universe, Minuet Zero connects the timelines of both series. The story begins after the events of Mobile Suit Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz, where the five Gundam pilots have prevented the worst-case scenario brought about by Operation Meteor. Although humanity is slowly moving toward peace, conflicts continue across the globe.

As the Alliance forces recover from their struggle against the colonies, the Holy Britannian Empire begins expanding its influence. Japan soon falls under Britannia's control due to its vast Sakuradite reserves, allowing the empire to use the valuable resource to strengthen its military. The story then moves into the early events of Code Geass, taking place after the death of Prince Clovis and depicting the arrest of Suzaku Kururugi.

The project is another highlight in an exciting anniversary year for both franchises. Gundam Wing continues to receive new projects for its 30th anniversary, while Code Geass is marking its 20th anniversary with several major announcements, including the upcoming anime Code Geass: Hoshi Oi no Aspal and new broadcasts of Code Geass: Roze of the Recapture.

Fans have imagined a Gundam Wing and Code Geass crossover for years thanks to the similarities in their political conflicts, memorable characters, and dramatic storytelling. With Minuet Zero now officially underway, that long-imagined meeting has finally become a reality.
