The Gundam Base is heading to Niigata this summer as Bandai Spirits officially announced “THE GUNDAM BASE POP-UP in NIIGATA,” opening at the Niigata City Manga & Anime Information Center from May 29 to July 5, 2026.
Fans can expect a massive selection of Gundam Base exclusive GunPla kits, limited-edition merchandise, sweets, and Gundam-related goods throughout the venue. The pop-up event will also feature a 2-meter-tall Gundam statue along with displays showcasing the latest upcoming products.
One of the biggest highlights is the return of the “GUNPLA POP-UP RUNNER’S GATE” corner, previously held in Harajuku, Tokyo. This special attraction lets fans create a GunPla featuring their favorite color combinations, providing a unique experience that builders definitely would not want to miss.
With free admission and plenty of exclusive items expected to sell quickly, the event is shaping up to become a major stop for Gundam fans visiting Niigata this summer.
