Fans of Gundam music have something special to look forward to next year. It has been announced that acclaimed composer Hiroyuki Sawano will return with a brand new live performance, "Hiroyuki Sawano × THE SOUND OF GUNDAM - Mobile Suit Gundam UC・NT・HATHAWAY Concert -", taking place on February 27, 2027, at Tokyo Garden Theater.
Alongside the announcement, an impressive new key visual was also unveiled, giving fans their first look at the upcoming event.
The concert will celebrate some of Sawano's most unforgettable Gundam compositions, featuring music from Mobile Suit Gundam UC, Mobile Suit Gundam NT, and Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway. Iconic scenes from all three productions will be projected during the performance while the music is brought to life through powerful orchestral and band arrangements, creating an experience that blends live performance with some of the franchise's most memorable moments.
Joining Sawano on stage will be guest vocalists mpi, SennaRin, Benjamin, mizuki, and Laco. Sawano himself will perform on piano alongside an accomplished lineup of musicians, including guitarist Hiroshi Iimuro, guitarist Harutoshi Ito, bassist Toshino Tanabe, drummer Makoto Fujisaki, synthesizer player KOHTA YAMAMOTO, the Koichiro Muroya Strings, the Otohiko Fujita horn team, and trumpeter Ryo Noda.
Three ticket options will be available for the concert. Fans can choose the Reserved Seat with Limited Goods for 16,500 yen, which includes an exclusive acrylic stand featuring the event's key visual. Standard Reserved Seats will be priced at 14,000 yen, while Rear Reserved Seats will cost 13,000 yen. Every ticket also includes a special eight-page commemorative pamphlet for attendees.
Pre-sale lottery applications begin today, July 4, through the Gundam Fan Club and the concert's official website.
