Apex Legends x Gundam Ignites the Outlands on March 10th

Starting March 10, Apex Legends unleashes the Gundam Takeover, a limited-time event that transforms Broken Moon into a warzone straight out of the Gundam universe. This is not just a visual crossover. It is a complete battlefield overhaul packed with new Wildcard abilities, iconic weapons, and Legendary cosmetics inspired by some of the most powerful mobile suits in anime history.

Wildcard: Gundam Takeover

Broken Moon undergoes a dramatic transformation. Destroyed mobile suits litter the surface, towering statues of Wing Gundam Zero dominate the skyline, and ships clash overhead as players drop into a fully realized Gundam battleground.

The legendary Buster Rifle enters the fight via Care Packages. Once equipped, players can launch skyward for aerial reconnaissance, scan through walls to reveal enemies, and unleash piercing laser blasts that tear through cover before detonating on impact.

Bit Staves introduce dynamic tactical flexibility. Deploy them as protective shields while advancing, or switch to Drone Command mode to send them out for patrol, scanning, and aggressive suppression.

New Wild Cards Unleashed

The event introduces lethal Gundam-themed Wildcard abilities that push combat to another level:

• Epyon’s Lash inspired by Gundam Epyon adds a magnetic melee pull Tactical ability and enhanced close-range pressure.
• Heavyarms Salvo channels missile-based devastation, marking enemies for air support after sustained hits.
• Zero Sacrifice allows players to trigger a self-destruct explosion upon being knocked, taking nearby enemies down with them.
• Zero Rebirth grants a second chance, entering the Void when knocked before returning with 1 HP, temporary invulnerability, and health regeneration.

Eight Legends receive Gundam-inspired transformations, carefully matched to their personalities and combat styles:

Fans can also unlock a Char Aznable-inspired Sparrow Skin in the Reward Shop, paying homage to the legendary Red Comet himself, Char Aznable.
