INITIAL RELEASE

Bandai Spirits announces the release of the G04 Gundam in the Premium Bandai line. Just like they announced this year, that they will be focusing on releasing Mobile Suit Gundam SIDE STORY variations! This kit is also the 23rd entry to the Gundam ACE Pilot Log series.

Gundam Unit 4 was first seen in the Kunio Okawara's MS Collection (M-MSV) original design series, the design was then upgraded by Katoki Hajime to be used for the Mobile Suit Gundam: Encounters In Space PlayStation 2 video game and for the manga Mobile Suit Gundam Side Story: Space, To the End of a Flash.

The unit offers two modes, one being the standard mode without the booster pack and shoulder armors installed, and BST mode with the booster pack and shoulder armors installed.

  1. Wonder why they didn't release both RX-78-4 and RX-78-5 at the same time, but it's alright. Going to get both as they come out!

    1. One set of molds. They can only manufacture one kit at a time.

    2. And I'm surprised they didn't announce G05 first because its equipment already in pale rider space type.

  5. Okay, now we just need the RX-78-1 & RX-78-5 in HGUC for the whole set.
Too bad Grandpa is the only one that's not an exclusive, barring the 7th.

  6. While I am happy with this release (and possibly G05 in the near future), the promo image make me feel worry about the number of stickers comes with them.

  7. Okay, getting a better/closer look the sculpting is fantastic and I'm glad the white shoulder pieces are optional, but who the heck panel lined this? That is the only ting turning me off right now, it looks like someone tried to panel line it with a Sharpie, you're better than this Bandai, come on

  8. This hurts my wallet twice because I know I'll have to buy 05 too.

  10. Is it just me or do these molds looks bad? For some reason this doesn't have that sharp feel that all the other kits have. Maybe it's the bad panel lining that bleeds all over.

    2. Yes, the mold is poorly made. Just look the blue cap at the top of the gun, both halves cannot even fit properly, look the big seamline gap. Amazing not.
