Gundam SEED Freedom Set to Conclude Screenings Across Japan on May 23rd

Worldwide screenings will continue to be announced

The blockbuster film "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED FREEDOM" is scheduled to complete its nationwide theatrical run on Thursday, May 23rd, while certain theaters may extend showings. With the screenings coming to a conclusion, the franchise is undertaking a number of intriguing activities to keep its loyal following engaged.

Among these endeavors is a new social media (SNS) project that will provide followers with exclusive digital benefits like icons and smartphone backgrounds. This effort is intended to increase fans' connection with the film outside of the theater, allowing them to take a piece of their favorite saga with them wherever they go.

"Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Series Official X" (@SEED_HDRP) will release SNS icons and smartphone wallpapers every day beginning April 30th.

In addition to the SNS initiative, fans may look forward to "Kira & Cagalli Birthday Commemoration Stage Greetings" and "Finale Stage Greetings," as well as national live viewings. These events are sure to provide unforgettable experiences that honor the characters and universe of Gundam.

To further engage the audience, the third round of "Speakable Support Screenings" will be held, allowing fans to communicate with the film. Starting May 3rd, a holiday, guests will get the 15th weekly visitor present, "Local Visual Postcards from 47 Prefectures." These A6 format illustration cards, comprising 47 distinct designs, will be a rare treat for both collectors and fans.

"Mobile Suit Gundam SEED FREEDOM" was a huge hit, attracting 2.69 million viewers and earning 4.52 billion yen at the box office in its first 95 days. This extraordinary feat represents the biggest box office earnings among the Gundam series' theatrically released works, highlighting the film's huge appeal and the franchise's long-lasting success.
