The metal puzzle consists of 432 laser-cut stainless steel parts, which stands approximately 17.2 cm x 10.5 cm x 6.0 cm when assembled. It will go on sale exclusively in Bandai Namco China's flagship store in December 2023 for 269 Chinese yuan (about $37).
In 2009, they first released the RX-78-2 Gundam ver.G30th in 1/1 scale to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the franchise. The statue was first installed at Shiokaze Park in Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo from July 11 to August 31, 2009.
The first launch was a success. They continued the project by installing the RG 1/1 scale RX-78-2 Gundam at Higashishizuoka Plaza in the city of Shizuoka, Shizuoka Prefecture from July 24, 2010 to March 27, 2011. Also celebrated with the first Release of the 1/144 scale GunPla version of the statue under the Real Grade GunPla line.This statue was also equipped with a radiating saber in its right hand.
The RX-78-2 Gundam statue appeared again at DiverCity Tokyo Festival Square in Koto-ku, Tokyo for five years, from April 19, 2012 to March 5, 2017. New decal specification seals have been applied to the statue, and 3D light mapping presentations at night. This version was called RG 1/1 RX-78-2 Gundam Ver.GFT (Gundam Front Tokyo).
