The Gundam Base and Side-F Celebrates Char's Counterattack with Exclusive Items

Don't Confuse the Decoy Dummy for a GunPla

Bandai Namco Group and Bandai Spirits announces that the Gundam Base Tokyo, Fukuoka, and Gundam Side-F facility will be carrying limited and exclusive items that commemorates the Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack film! The items are to be sold starting July 16th, 2022 while the supplies last.


The lineup includes the HGUC 1/144 Jegan (Axis Shock Image Color) - provided with a color that re-imagines the time when the Axis falls in the "Mobile Suit Gundam Char's Counterattack" movie. This kit will be sold for 1,650 Yen.




Next in the line are 1/144 scale vinyl figures of dummy (decoy) balloons of Re-Gz and nu Gundam for 2,200 Yen each. In addition, the product art will be designed after the image of the old kit box package released at the time of the film's premier in 1988.

    Both the Axis Shock Jegan and dummy balloons are pretty neat.
    Actually kinda tempted to get that Jegan, since it's a variant depicting an actual event in CCA, rather than the typical chrome/gloss/metallic variants that aren't based on anything.
