Celebrating the launch of the Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury anime series in October are the release of numerous model kits, including the Figure-rise Standard version of Suletta Mercury, who is also the first female protagonist in Gundam franchise.
Voiced by Japanese voice actress, Kana Ichinose.
Suletta Mercury is a second-year student in the piloting department. She is described as a very timid individual who somewhat lacks communication skills. She is the pilot of the Gundam Aerial, which is the main Gundam of the series.
The kit includes various face types to portray Suletta's facial expressions.
Intriguing... I wonder what that "tampo" printing is, and how it'll measure up to the waterslide decals...
ReplyDeleteIt's basically the same printting they used for the 30 Minutes Sisters.
DeleteTampo is like the ones used for the Kotobukiya kits and the recent 30 Minutes Sisters series.
DeleteIt's more like pre-applied dry transfer decals.
DeleteTampo printing is paint applied by a soft pad, the effect is more like pre applied dry transfer decals than waterside. It's how the fine paint applications on metal build figures are done.
DeleteI'm glad they're still doing these kits of the characters.
ReplyDeleteIt'd be nice to get some of the males characters.
Sadly those would shelfwarm cos anime fans only want waifus.
This is a cheap product rollout to catch ride on marketing timing with the anime. Bandai is cutting back quality work of color separated injected eyes used in Figure-rise Bust/Labo series. Having only one tampo printed face is just becase in case people mess up pasting water decals, so they'll still have one good face to use.
