HGBD:R 1/144 Load Astray Double Rebake
Release Date: October 2020
Price: 2,200 Yen

Bandai Spirits has finally revealed the Gundam Build Divers Re:RISE new Gundam Astray custom GunPla entry! The Load Astray Double Rebake was based on Lord Astray Z, a Gundam Astray variant appearing in the Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Astray: Princess of the Sky manga series.

The kit also shares some of its molds and parts from the Gundam Astray No Name that first appeared in the Gundam Build Divers anime series, with tons of new modification and gimmicks. The kit can also transform into its Cuadro (Normal) and Reverso (Expanded) forms depending on battle situation.

    1. Not gonna happen. If they were gonna do an Alus Arche they'd have announced it by now. and that's the more likely of the pair. The only Turn X kit base is the MG, and they're not gonna do a variant of that for a mobile suit that only shows up for a few minutes in a Build series show.

  5. to sum up most opinions on this:

"ey that's pretty cool... but when's lord astray"

i still want to know how the leg transformation works

    1. I'm super curious about that myself. Would be excellent for customs that have a "beast mode" (lord knows I drew a transforming dragon gundam with legs that fold out....and a mass produced wyvern mobile suit with the legs folding out into wings [which probably function differently in my head than this guys fold-out legs])

  6. Tfw nobody remembers the good ol' Mirage Frame had the "close combat reverse" gimmick.

    1. From what I'm seeing, only the head itself is reversed, and the rest of it just changes the formation of certain parts. Load Astray Double Rebake, meanwhile, straight-up reverses nearly the entire unit while also having an unfolding gimmick.
