2020s Shizuoka Hobby Show Cancelled due to Coronavirus

The 59th Shizuoka Hobby Show that was scheduled to be held from May 13th to 17 of 2020 was cancelled due to the spread the coronavirus, the safety of all visitors and everyone involved in the event will always be the first priority of the event's organizers.

The organizers would like to extend their apology to all people who have been looking forward to the event, to all modelers who have worked hard to showcase their works, and to all other participants for the inconvenience it may have caused.

This is a huge impact to all businesses specially in hobby category, since Shizuoka Hobby Show is considered to be the largest hobby conventions where fresh announcements and releases are announced during the event. Bandai Spirits also has plans on revealing huge announcements for this year's Shizuoka Hobby show, celebrating GunPla's 40th anniversary with lots of surprises!

We will be expecting to see announcements in different separated events temporarily until all the risks are gone. The organizers have also planned to move the event next year, on its 60th anniversary instead.

Considering everything, we wish everyone's safety around the globe.
