Bandai Spirits announces on their official twitter and website that they are going to release the Real Grade version of the Evangelion unit 01 in March 2020 to celebrate the release of its new animated film "Evangelion 3.0 + 1.0" in June 2020! This kit comes in two price versions, one for6,500 Yen before taxes that comes with its special DX transport stand set, and one for 4,500 Yen before taxes that comes with just the unit.
The Eva-01 has been treated with a more extended articulation, detailed look, sleek design that fits the standard of a Real Grade kit! All the joint parts of its elbow and knees were studied carefully to give the kit a human-like articulation, from bending its arms and legs, to twisting abdomen parts.
Here's the official trailer.
[ACCESSORIES]
Progressive Knife x 2 types (normal and stored)
Pallet rifle
Hand parts (left and right) x 7 each type
Umbilical cable
Realistic decals
PET sheet
Transportation Platform [DX transport stand set version]
It's RG but dont compare with Gundam size... I think its will different size, like HG of Mazinger Infinity I hope the size minimal as big the HG Mazinger Infinity... TAKE MY MONEY!!!
It depends on the scale they use for this thing. Real Grade isn't gonna get much bigger than Sazabi or Sinanju, I don't think, because otherwise you'd probably lean towards Master Grade territory for scale.
Master Grade is 1/100 scale regardless of how big is the actual kit, eventhough 144 scale Eva is bigger than smallest MG, like the enormous HG Neo Zeong, it still isn't a MG. I still hope it will be 144 scale. Like it's always written on all RG boxes, excitement in palm size of 144 scale. Although 144 scale eva is not palm size. Lets see which size the actual kit, is it palm size or 144 scale.

TV Versions would make me a very happy man. Hopefully they aren't too out of the question. The Soul Spec line is probably the best looking TV versions of Evas on the market. I still need to pick up a Unit 00 in that line.
The kit isn't out for almost 6 months and you're already dismissing it and asking for an MG version. You're only asking for an MG because it will be bigger, which has to be the most obnoxious circle jerk in the gunpla community.
Ah I noticed that post above. To me the RG is basically the MG already since he is likely a non scale model kit(remember that Evas are much bigger than mobile suits which is 70 meter tall) like Bandai made with older TV Eva and Rebuild kits plus he is pretty much got the inner frame much like MG.
But guessing from the actual size he will be a little bigger than Robot Spirits Eva 01 and smaller than old Eva kits.
So this is already sold out and being listed at 6500€ at some websites. Is this normal? I now it's the first RG EVA and made for the upcoming release of the last movie but c'mon... I was prepared to spend a few hundred euros but this is off my budget. Any chance of this becoming available in the meantime or should I just try getting another kit? What you think would be the best purchase under 300€? Sorry I'm a noob.
You guys think there is a chance this will become available at anytime soon at
Demand just insanely high. All stock already sold out in japan, very few stock left for oversea. Now with covid19, i dont think they gonna restock anytime soon.Just patience, you might be able preorder it on retail price. Probably next year or holiday this year.
O_O
ReplyDeleteGET IN THE ROBOT SHINJI!!!
Jokes aside I wasn't expecting Bandai to do this!
Wow,i never expected this to get RG treatment.
ReplyDeleteA surprise, to be sure, but a welcome one
ReplyDeleteWow looks good! Now make an MG version.
ReplyDeleteTime to order those Gaianotes Evangelion color series paints.

RG Sazabi size would be nice, or at least RG Nu :)))
DeleteWho wants to be bet unit 00, 02, 03 and 04 is going to be pbandai
ReplyDelete*runs away crying*
It's nice and all, but I'd still prefer TV version of the Eva instead of rebuild.
ReplyDeleteIt was made to promote the upcoming last Rebuild movie which supposed to release next year.

DeleteI will certainly purchase one when I am in Japan, perfect timing.
ReplyDeleteI'm really glad that Bandai is expanding the RG series into different franchises.
ReplyDeleteWell Eva 01 is the first PG they have made back in older days anyway.

That was one person.
ReplyDeleteI may actually get this, or at least the standard edition as i'd never display her on the stand.
ReplyDeleteEVA-Unit 01 started the PG line, and by god is it going to end the RG line.
ReplyDeleteNot happen. More like it'll open posibility for mecha outside gundams for rg treatment.
