First in Gundam Build Divers it was big disproportionate legs on HG 00 Sky. Now it's "HUGE HEAD on tiny disproportionate body that still looks too big even with the full HG armor on."
Bandai's design team is getting worse each new build series. Not to mention the other armors look terrible and lazily designed. Barely any unique variation aside from more edgy pointy bits and minor details... Exactly like the Age-3 kits, terrible and lazily designed.
This series already looks extremely disappointing...
Honestly, this is probably the worst gundam design I've ever seen in my life. So lazy and uninspiring. While the original BD series was suck in story plot, at least the MC's gundam has pretty decent design. This is just ... Blegh
You've not seen "lazy and uninspired" till you've seen Gundam SEED Destiny's original designs. The Impulse Gundam for instance may have grown on me over time, but god I cannot ever call it "inspired" or "well thought out". This particular Gundam actually has some rhyme to its design at least.
This Gundam design seems real cool to me! I dont really like the lack of detail so ill wait until the RG model comes out! I think this is gonna be a good Model!
Possibly referencing the planets of the solar system. Earth is the third planet from the sun = Earthree. Mars the fourth planet = Marsfour. Venus the second planet = Veetwo.
The original Divers would've been the actual third iteration though. Also, it's supposed to be "Earth Three", since it's a naming scheme based off planets, i.e. VeeTwo = Venus Two, Marsfour = Mars Four.
This Gundam's beam rifle is as similar to the 00 Sky's Beam Rifle as an M16 is similar to the G36 assault rifle: both feature similar general features, but they're still completely different weapons with very different details.
I personally like this design, though to be honest, the CG screenshots as of this post aren't the most flattering. I'll see what I think about it when screenshots of the real model, painted or sample, come out.
I don't know how you're seeing the Strike Gundam considering it looks almost exactly like Age-1 especially the face with the red part not having a nose bump in the middle, the helmet's face guard looks like thinner ver of Age-1's and the Vent having Vulcan with an extended bottom vent
This is an interesting concept. I like the idea of a Core Gundam, but the design of the Earthree Gundam is admittedly pretty generic (Basically another Strike/Impulse variant). Hopefully Bandai revisits this idea with something a little more Universal Century looking. At the end of the day though, this series is aimed at kids, which makes it understandable why this looks like something out of Gundam AGE.
Lol yet another twist on the Strike Gundam! The Unicorn might be a design that was (and still is) milked to no end, but the amount of times the Strike has been re-used, rehashed, redesigned, modified, and adapted is probably even greater. (Strike, Strike Rouge, Strike E, Strike Noir, Build Strike, the other forms of the Build Strike, Impulse, G-Self, AGEs 1 through 3, this Gundam to name a few). I will admit though, interchangeable loadout options is a cool feature.
Strike didn't invent this feature. It was introduced by F90 and again by G-Savior. Like it or not it's an inevitable feature for mecha as it's done by other mecha shows as well. This just means you need to watch more shows
As mentioned above me, the "modular equipment system" concept wasn't pioneered by the Strike Gundam, since Universal Century designs like the F90 did it first. Hell, the Liger Zero from Zoids New Century (which predates Gundam SEED by two years) did the high mobility/close combat/ranged gunner modular concept first, and this particular Gundam actually has a concept closer to the Liger Zero's than the Strike's.
Sorry, I should have clarified that I was talking about interchangeable louadouts as a concept within Gundam. But yeah I forgot about F90 and G-Saviour because F90 was only released as a manga, and G-Saviour... we don't talk about that one.
the second coming of build fighters try, where supposedly customised classic designs are actually just tacky original designs that have no relation or abilities resembling whatever they are referencing
On the other hand, this is probably the best original design we've got so far. Especially when you consider the other original designs are the Build Burning Gundam, Star Burning Gundam, and the Scramble Gundam.
What do you mean? This gunpla concept is supposed to be one core, three armor sets but the core's color changes for each set so they end up selling the core three times anyway.
This Gundam actually looks great compared to 00 diver and Lighting garbage from Try. Plus, it's an actual custom gunpla unlike the original trash designs from Try fighters
I won't dis the design as the "disproportionate" core unit everyone seems to be dissing is only the core with the concept being it can swap out parts on the fly, this system is very similar to Age gundam 1's wear design so you know what I think it is actually a pretty cool idea, albeit I doubt anyone would display it as just the core unit but like I said, the concept is behind the wear parts, and this particular wear part makes it look quite cool
Well at least the way this Gundam is designed will make it easier for Bandai to make into an RG later, right? I'm surprised Bandai didn't simply just sell use the Core Gundam and then sold us add on parts the variants. That would've probably made them more money since with each variants, you'd have to buy a separate Core Gundam.
Oh and is there going to be any references to S1 Build Divers in S2 Build Divers? Maybe characters, Gundams, etc?
The revelation of the model number for the Core Gundam (PFF-X7, a reference to the FF-X7 Core Fighter) makes the design base of the RX-78-2 Gundam far more apparent outside of its armaments... and ended up making me realise that aside from the Gunpla's original gimmicks, the basic concept behind this thing is that it's an inversion of the RX-78-2's components - the Gundam is the "core", and the fighter is the armor, rather than the other way around.
To be honest, i kinda like it coz its Cute and Unique. And its looks cool after the transformation, like unicorn gundam! But man i hope bandai gonna sell the armor seperately from the core gundam, like Veetwo and Marsfour...

ReplyDeleteWhile 00 Sky looks great their starting designs looks horrible except for the Zeromaru. This actually looks good and a sound concept for a custom

DeleteI wonder if the name is supposed to be a pun on "E3" or "Year Three", as in the technically third iteration of the Build line
ReplyDeletePossibly referencing the planets of the solar system. Earth is the third planet from the sun = Earthree. Mars the fourth planet = Marsfour. Venus the second planet = Veetwo.

DeleteYeah, I made this comment way too early, I made it before checking out the other posts and now I feel stupid XD
DeleteOh god you look so good in the trailer. Like how good the 00 sky ailhouette looks in riku's mind. Oh right. Its build diver series again.
ReplyDeleteWhat the hecks wrong with its unarmored proportion. And zthat beam rifle is just 00 sky rifle just with prongs om the side. Really lazy
ReplyDeleteNo it's not the same rifle. Check your sources
DeleteThis Gundam's beam rifle is as similar to the 00 Sky's Beam Rifle as an M16 is similar to the G36 assault rifle: both feature similar general features, but they're still completely different weapons with very different details.
DeleteI don't get it will we get it like earththree complete version or core gundam with the support unit
ReplyDeleteI think this is both Earthree Core and the Support Unit

ReplyDeleteThat head is just a redesigned Strike head while the overall design of the Core Gundam & all three upgrade packs are from AGE.
ReplyDeleteEh, I'll pass until I see a review or it in animated action.

DeleteThe side of the head looks kinda like Strike Gundam. The vulcans are on top of the cheek vents and are encased inside of the side head

I can already some potentially loose parts, like on the front skirt...
