  1. It may look cool, but this is nonetheless an absurd advertisement done by Bandai to get more money. We all know that gunpla kits are mostly interchangeable (especially 1/144), sometimes we can make 2 or 3 variations from 1 kit, but Bandai made no documentation about it, unless they want to sell more kits (like this p-bandai) or by promoting builder kits (HGBF etc.).

    1. The problem for AoZ is, they have very different connector from current HG kit especially for TR-6 which use more universal joint and connector nowadays. And no documentation statement are false, Dengeki Hobby already docummented it on AoZ special book. Everything about Woundwort variation recorded there and yes, that Tr-6 Gaplant II are exist.

    2. Eh, the Woundwort is KINDA compatible with other kits, but its super narrow shoulders and strange legs (and lack of feet) make it a challenge. On top of that, these parts are actually for a canon transformation, though it strikes me as odd that they don't come with either of the TR6 kits.

As for the p-bandai releases being a money grab... I thought the same at first. It's actually a licensing issue, since Dengeki Hobby owns the AoZ rights, not Bandai, and they have no interest in making kits themselves. So... It's actually just Dengeki putting the squeeze in Bandai, and Bandai wanting to release AoZ kits anyway since people love the designs.

  2. soooo.... let me get this straight.... nearly 1900 yen for a SINGLE sprue of connector pieces to fuse OTHER P-Bandai kits together? yeahhhhh.... how about no.

    1. I mean, you get the Advanced Hazel (Or Hazel Custom if you want, but that one's still floating around in physical stores even, which is where I got mime...) with it, so... it's 1900 yen for a rerelease of an impossible to find kit (It's going on Amazon for like $60 last I checked...) PLUS the new runner.

    2. Impossible? Check ebay. I see the Advanced Hazel going for around $25 all the time. Kits are always ridiculously expensive on Amazon.

  4. Actually advanced hazel has just been reprinted, so the p Bandai is really just about the extra connectors and water slides.

    1. Eh. Seems like due to licensing issues, Bandai's only allowed to sell AoZ kits as p-bandai now

  5. I guessed this is good for collectors and people that just do straight build or with very limited modding skills. I'll pass...I can't afford it.
