Summary as described by Gundam.info
U.C. 0097, one year after the opening of "Laplace's Box." Despite the revelation of the Universal Century Charter that acknowledges the existence and rights of Newtypes, the framework of the world has not been greatly altered. The conflict later dubbed the "Laplace Incident" is thought to have ended with the downfall of the Neo Zeon remnants known as the Sleeves. In its final battle, two full psycho-frame mobile suits displayed power beyond human understanding. The white unicorn and the black lion were sealed away to remove this danger from people's consciousness, and they should now be completely forgotten. However, the RX-0 Unicorn Gundam 03, which disappeared two years earlier, is now about to show itself in the Earth Sphere once more. A golden phoenix... named Phenex.
Japanese theaters screened the full movie on November 30th of 2018 with special screening of the first teaser of Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway's Flash that will debut in 2020.

The first 23-minute video is available at Gundam.info's official Youtube channel.

  1. I would definitely love to watch it but I rather English subs than english dub. English dubs are not always that great unless the voice actors are awesome. Plus will it be playing in theaters in california?

    1. I'd imagine a large number of the limited airings are in California. Almost every time anime airs, the majority of the showings are in California and NYC only, and everyone else is hundreds of miles from any theater airing it.

  2. Uh I'm happy about this, but it premieres on a TUESDAY? c'mon man, they couldn't even premiere it the day before on President's day??

Hopefully it's at night because that's weird and awkward timing.
