  1. DAMMIT I was hoping they'd finally make the Zaku Cannon in 1/144 a MASS release, since so much new tooling is involved... but here they go pulling another Gundiver on us... :(

    1. Makes me wonder why they're releasing the Half-Cannon as a full release. The Zaku Cannon has been around forever and has appeared in multiple Gundam series- including Zeta and Unicorn. The Half-Cannon is very new, and as far as I'm aware hasn't appeared in anything.

I'm baffled in all honesty. I would have picked one up too.

    2. Huh- I guess we should be happy the MG got a mass-release at all... It was my first MG kit ever, solely because it was not available by any other means.

    3. Also, it must be noted that the Zaku Half Cannon DID exist back in the MSV days... but it was (and still is) FAR more obscure than the actual Zaku Cannon itself... As such, the Half Cannon should really have been P-Bandai, and would have been a good example of how a P-Bandai kit SHOULD be.

Alas, the fact that we get the cannon parts in the mass-release without it being full-on (literally half-baked; the name says it) is like an insult and a slap in the face. I'd rather not have gotten the Half Cannon at all; I pre-ordered it, but when I complete it I'll look at it with subtle contempt for what it COULD have been.

  3. So, does this one have the bunny-eared head as an option?

    1. Yes, you can see it in the 3rd and 4th pics up from the bottom... All this new tooling deserves a mass release >:(

    2. Aye, I noticed after posting, but fell asleep before I could make a comment amending that.

  4. Wow that is really scumbaggy of Bandai. Only give us literally a half version of this a normal and make the actual thing P-Bandai.

    1. Agreed. Should have been the other way around, IMO (Like Zaku High Mobility Test Type is a kitbash in special colors; Half Cannon should have been P-Bandai and had the Gatling Cannon as its "special" accessory.

  5. @Aeron Sererns:

    It's shown in the photos.

On another note i'm surprised this hasn't been a p-bandai MG release.

    1. Would be nice, but they'd have to retool the rest of the body to make a full-on 1/144 Zaku Cannon- which SHOULD be a mass release if they do it.

  7. WHY IS THIS P-BANDAI?!?!?! The Zaku Cannon is one of the most recognizable MSV and has appeared in Zeta, Unicorn, many games, and spin off titles!

I'd take this over the Half-Cannon any day! What the hell!

    1. I know!!! Half Cannon should have been P-Bandai with an exclusive gatling cannon- this has so much new tooling, they're pulling another GunDiver on us!

  8. This is still NOT MS06K.
    Come on bandai.......

  9. I question why they dont switch all of their product from Bandai to P-bandai, more profit. For me, i decide buy only this zaku rather than two zakus now.

    1. A sad predicament, really... Luckily for me, you just gave me the idea of doing that myself! I think I'll cancel my preorders for the Half Cannon and Kycilia's Forces' Zaku I in exchange for this.

  10. At least we are finally getting more MSV's. Still waiting for the Zaku Tank and Ramba Ral's Zaku I.
