1st free-to-play, online console Gundam game launches on Japanese PS3s on Thursday
Namco Bandai Games began streaming a five-minute game introduction video on Tuesday for the upcoming release of Mobile Suit Gundam: Battle Operation, the first free-to-play online Gundam game for consoles. The game will launch in Japan on Thursday.

Four to six players can join either the Earth Federation or Zeon Forces to play against each other on the PlayStation 3 via the SonyEntertainment Network. Players can not only pilot the giant Mobile Suits of the Gundam world, but can also attack enemies in vehicles or even on foot.
Namco Bandai Games already ran a 10,000-person closed beta test from March 29 to March 31. The company released the first threepromotional videos for the game in March, May, and June.
